To the region of Osiris, its Pharaoh, its government, and its citizens,
Recently it was revealed by a player that the New Pacific Order had been aware of a number of things that presented a threat to your region in many regards. Firstly, that one of our exiled members, Feux, had infiltrated Osiris as Adytus. In this guise, Feux almost reached the Delegacy of Osiris. He left before he could take the seat, and Altinsane became the new Pharaoh. Exactly what Feux would have done with that Delegacy is unknown to us, but this left the door open to potential future threats to Osiris, from us as well. A mean old man and Stujenske had also infiltrated Osiris with Feux. While we were unaware of Adytus being Feux or any of the others when this was going on, our Delegate and Regent became aware of this when attempting to take back Wolfist Lazarus. By this time Feux was already a citizen again. Adytus was left to CTE when Imki successfully kept the Delegacy and there was no need for a potential backup plan, which is what Adytus served as during the transition time after the coup when the winner of the Delegacy was as yet uncertain. Not telling Osiris about this was a major oversight.
A more recent transgression than Adytus was also known by several Senate members. 94 Block had returned, and his identity was kept concealed. While former Regent Pergamon may not have known about specific parts of 94 Block’s history, former Senator Feux most likely did, and his history of under-the-table aggression against Osiris gives this an especially grave meaning on his part. Pergamon's role is not being whitewashed. Both of them and the former Emperor have either resigned or been banned. The general populace of the NPO was unaware of this, and most of them were unaware Block even existed. As a result during this process he has been treated like a joke despite the RL threats he has presented to others in the past, and that should have been addressed properly sooner by our leadership.
Leadership has changed, and so will the direction of the region. These mistakes and grave oversights such as the above will never be repeated. A blacklisted player is blacklisted to us no matter what, and there will never be association with one of them by any member of the Senate again. No-one in the New Pacific Order will be authorized or permitted to carry on interactions that enable a blacklisted player to participate in the game, and no attempts to conceal a returning player no matter what their past relation to any member of the New Pacific Order might be will ever occur again.
The mistakes made are acknowledged as what they are. They are transgressions that have endangered Osiris and its members. Even with the removal and resignation of the members who enabled all of this, we are aware that forgiveness is something you can only earn, never be given on reflex. We will in the future under our new Senate work to ensure that none of this will ever become a problem again. We regard Osiris with respect, not as an enemy, as their efforts against us were fueled by insufficient addressing of this situation and our personal part in the endangerment of the community.
We can only at this point offer our sincere apologies for the threats that were presented to your community by gross negligence, deliberate covering, or oversight of serious real life implications implicit in an action. While we do not expect you to accept this right now, let it be known that this is a genuine apology and a promise that this will not be an example of the New Pacific Order in the future.
Signed on behalf of the New Pacific Order,
Lord of Darkness, Emperor
Xoriet, Legatus
Shnailand, Censor
Jar Wattinree, Tribune
Svezjacael, Quaestor
