It's been a while since I made an RP, so here we go.

This thread is the Osiris Kingdom. You can become a citizen of the Kingdom simply by posting here. You will start off as a peasant with low stats and few possessions. Through your actions, you can rise up the ranks and become anything, from a knight, to a magician, to a noble, or anything else really. I'll be the game master, and I'll tell you what things you receive for the actions you choose to do. I'll be fairly generous so that the game can move along quickly!

Actions you can choose to do include mining in the mountains for rare ores, foraging in the forest for medicinal herbs, going to the shops and buying things, going to the castle and looking for a job as a knight, or anything your imagination can come up with, so long as its physically possible within the confines of the game universe. Importantly, you cannot decide what your character actually gets for performing a certain action. For example, you could say "I will look for treasure in the mountains", but you cannot say "I look for treasure in the mountains and find a magical sword".

Currently known areas in the Osiris Kingdom are as follows, but you may choose to "explore" and discover new areas.

You can interact with other players, but as people are prone to disappearing from the forums without warning, you can do other actions while waiting for people to respond.

Stats are as follows, and your character can start with a maximum total of 200 points spread across them. Keep in mind that have a stat below 5 in anything other than Magic Power could render your character somewhat handicapped. This could lead to amusing situations if that's your thing, though.

Your character starts at level 1.

They start with the following items.

Filthy rags (clothing)

5 loaves of bread

5 carrots

1 cooking pot

1 clay bowl

1 tin ladle

1 wooden spoon

5 pieces of firewood

1 piece of rope

1 wooden crate

1 wooden barrel

1 old leather bag

Dilapidated old Shack (Home sweet home) Your shack can be on the outskirts of Market Town or the Brimwick District, or even out in the forest or mountains if you prefer.

Plus your choice of two of the following:

Iron Axe

Iron Mining Pick

Iron Saw

Iron Hoe

Iron Shovel

Iron Sword

To start, give your character a name (probably the same name as your avatar or a medieval sounding version of it), age and race. Again, your race can reflect your avatar's if you want, so there's not much restriction there. Humans, cats, triangles, daleks, anything's fine. Then give them their stats in the manner described above. Then choose two items from the optional list above. Your starting inventory is negotiable, and you may swap items for others of similar value. After that, your character is ready to go. Just say what you want your character to do, and when I come online, I will work out what happens for your character, using my imagination, your characters stats, and a random number generator. You can tell your character to do multiple things in one post if you want. As I said above, what your character can do is only really limited by your imagination and basic logic.

OOC: Do you not think this may be a little difficult to implement and administer? And not too many people are active role players. Do you think this can become a success?

@ Andrew: I hope that more active RP-ers will join the community and more non-RP players will experiment with RP, but I am not entirely sure that this will work.

@ V.S: Wisdom is more akin to street smarts, the ability to think quickly and come up with solutions. Knowledge is how much your character knows, and so comes in handy with magic or identifying objects.
