[Discussion] ISRA Joint Commander
In accordance with the Treaty of the Old Gods, the Monarch of Balder and the Pharaoh of Osiris shall appoint a Joint Commander of the ISRA, the military created by that treaty.
Today, I present to you Koth. Koth is a co-founder of the OFO, and no stranger to military gameplay. He was recently named to the Council of the Hawks in TBH, and is also its Field Marshal. He's got the drive to get this thing off the ground and the experience to do it. I can think of no better candidate to lead us forward.
He is very excited to serve in this capacity and I hope he meets with your approval. This thread shall serve as the discussion thread and a vote thread will be posted at the Conclusion of the mandatory discussion period.

I support this nomination and I think Koth will make a great Joint Commander.
Just to make sure we do our due diligence this time around though, a few questions for Koth:
1. Do you have any concerns that other military responsibilities will conflict with your command responsibilities for ISRA?
2. Can you tell us, broadly speaking, the direction you want to set for the ISRA over, let's say, the next three months?
3. There have been some tensions in implementation of ISRA, which has likely led to some negative feelings within its ranks. What do you think is the best approach to resolving these tensions and feelings?
Again, I think this is a great pick and barring any off the wall answers to the above questions, full support from me.

Koth has my full support and I've made this Nomination in Balder, with a speech there, suspiciously similar to Sev's in places. Click here to read.

Huge thanks to the Pharaoh and the King of Balder for this opportunity. Anyone who's known me for any length of time in this game will know that I am a military man focused solely on making whatever organization I call myself a part of a well-oiled machine. I do not plan on abandoning this mentality any time soon, and I am honored to know that my skill sets have proven worthy of a commanding position over two raider-imperialist GCR armies. This is a tremendous privilege, one I intend to make the fullest of.
As for Cormac's questions, here I go:
1) Absolutely not. In fact, I believe that my connections will prove beneficial for ISRA, seeing as how I can rally support for our operations from multiple powerful forces in NationStates. I am a strong promoter of raider unity, and with me at the head of ISRA I will work to keep Balder and Osiris not only relevant on the invading scene, but hopefully with time become a powerhouse.
2) The fallout from the resignations of the Cerebellas still stings a little bit today. If I am confirmed, I will try my best to move beyond the mistakes of the past and work to keep everyone on the same page. We are a united army, and we need to act like one. I am always 100% free to talk about any issues one may encounter with how the organization is run. My top priority in the coming months is to form a command structure that perfectly projects the interests of Balder and Osiris abroad, with copious military force. This also involves a future initiative to recruit more soldiers into ISRA.
3) As I touched on in the answer to question 2, easing these tensions is a top priority in the early days of my appointment. The only way I can achieve this is to be as open to suggestions as possible from Legionnaires and Jomsvikings as to how we can improve. This is a group effort, and I will try my best to make everyone feel involved in the success of ISRA. I will structure my command in a way that both regions are fully on board with, and I will ensure that the interests of both Balder and Osiris are represented in every command decision.

Full support.
Leading on from the answers though, my assumption had been that 'we are a united army, and we need to act like one' but it turned out there was a larger role and independence expected of the Legion. How do you see the role and capabilities of the two regional militaries while balancing a united army?

Yep. That actually makes sense. He's the best man for the job, in my opinion. (Venico would be very nice too.)
