Last Call

So I'd like to open up a discussion of what RP subforums we think are needed/important enough to keep and not archive. We have so many subforums that do not see activity it's ridiculous. So this is a last call for them. Share with me which ones you'd like to keep, and which ones you think should have be stored away?

The forums under community and culture or the ones under the roleplay forums

Roleplay forums. The Temple of Khepri located here. For example, I'd vouch for the keeping of Lands of Osiris since it was the most active RP this forum has seen and has a chance at rebooting.

I'd like to reboot Land of Osiris. None of the other RPs except the House System RPs interest me.

Another issue relevant to this discussion is whether those supervising their respective RPs are even really participating in this community anymore. Here are their last activity dates:

Cameron M. Romefeller, 19 March 2014 - World RP
Old Federalia, 21 May 2014 - Osiris Legends
Charles Cerebella, 08 June 2014 - The Land of Osiris
George Holland, 31 May 2014 - OsiMT

It's also worth noting that Old Federalia isn't a citizen here and is now logging in for diplomatic purposes, and that George's recent log-in appears to have been just to edit out all the content in the OsiMT subforum.

Taking all of that into account, I would argue that the only person supervising an RP who is still active in this community is Charles Cerebella. Given that RPs tend to need fairly active supervision in order to be successful at all, I think this makes a strong case for archiving everything except The Land of Osiris and the Character RP subforum.

Well the Character RP subforum should never really go. It's an open place to host individual RPs. But I agree with your assessment Cormac. I just wanted to give anyone who was attached a last chance to vouch for a subforum/get it going again.

Part of re-doing the map to bring it into line with the House system was to use that as a replacement to the Land of Osiris one on the whole to provide more direction and focus which I think has more chance of sustaining activity in it in the sinker setting than a completely sandbox version. I'm not really GM to LoO, more just cartographer as I'm not actually any good at RPing, just setting them up xD If you want to run them side by side with their different map versions then that is fine with me.

I would like to keep LoO and the House RPs separate as the characters I've developed for each are very different.

If we repeal the house charter act I have every intent of moving the House RP to you know the actual RP section.

What purpose would that leave for the actual House forums?
