Statement and Apology from the New Pacific Order to Osiris

Here is my personal opinion
It does seem as though the NPO is putting the needs of Osiris first, but the demand of perg being banned has not yet been met. Now don't get me wrong I do believe that the new emperor may be trying to change things but you cannot get the toxicity out of the NPO without cutting off it's source and to an outside view it seems that perg is a major part of the wrongs of the NPO

I don't think your response is sufficient, to say the least, but I'll just leave it at that and bow out until after our government has formally responded.

Given your history of criticizing us it is difficult to say whether you will ever be fully satisfied.

Nonetheless we can respect that you have your opinions and fully intend to rectify some of those which we can both agree upon.


This is merely the beginning of our response for we have other regions whose relations with us have soured or become strained as well as the remaining requested terms to address. (And obviously to also start taking corrective steps on our own.) Some matters, such as the fate of Aleisyr, Pergamon, and Svezjacael are subject to differing demands from various parties and, at this time, remain under deliberation between us and them.

I can see that you're prioritizing the needs of Osiris very highly over the needs of other wronged parties, so I guess that is something.

It is the proper thing to do under the circumstances.

Earlier today, Svezjacael announced his resignation on both the NPO and the Lazarus forums. You can read his resignation here on Lazarus' forum.

What really caught my eye though was this exchange between Pergamon and Svezjacael on the NPO forum:



It's almost like no one in the NPO is really serious about this, and they're just going through the motions hoping we're all stupid enough to be placated. Because people who are talking about how much they hate all of us and vaguely threatening future retribution aren't people who are serious about apologizing, accepting responsibility, and honestly pursuing reform. They're people biding their time until their next opportunity to attack our regions.

No one should fall for any of this.

Secondly, we want to announce that former Regent Pergamon has entered into a voluntary permanent ban from the NationStates branch of the New Pacific Order. He will not be banned from the entire regional Discord, as he is a member of both the CyberNations and Politics and War branches. He will be banned from all NationStates-related channels. His citizenship and all privileges associated with such will be revoked. He will cease to log into his nation from the day of the posting of his ban, and his nation will Cease To Exist in The Pacific, as is befitting for the services he did for the New Pacific Order community. In keeping with his ban, should his nation be refounded after its CTE and move back into The Pacific, it will be banned Gameside. If he attempts to log in again to postpone the period he has been granted to CTE honorably in The Pacific, he will be banned immediately regardless of circumstance.

Voluntary does not equal permanent, and our Pharaoh's terms for you were "permanently banned from the Pacific." Make it an official ban please x)

On top of that, Pergamon does not deserve to be allowed to peacefully Cease to Exist in the New Pacific Order after what he did to our community. Pergamon deserves his nation being on the ban list of the Pacific. I don't speak for our Pharaoh, but to me a ban will never be fully met until I see his nation banjected from the NPO :)
