Your main role as Guardian will to be ensure the in-game security of the region, working with the other guardians, the Pharaoh and Crown Prince. I suppose my first question is to ask you if you could expand on why you believe that you'll be a good fit on that body, if you don't mind?

The history of Osiris is well documented with both internal and external attempts to take control of the Delegacy for illegitimate purposes. Some have been successful, some have not. If you became aware of an attempt by an actor (regardless of their standing in the Osiran government) who wished to challenge the Delegacy and overthrow it, could you prove some examples of what you would do in that case?
First, thanks for your support and I welcome the questions.

I think that I would be a valuable asset to the body as I am a relatively new and dedicated player. Unlike many of the veterans I don’t have a series of allegiances that would influence my decision making away from the interests of a strong Osiris. The only region that I have been a part of is Osiris and have no personal investment to any other state or coalition. My only interests lie in what’s best for the stability and security of Osiris. I also feel that I could be trusted with such a position because of my track record of being a trust worthy constitutionalist, whose interested in hearing and welcomes all opinions. I also think that I have shown the kind of dedication to Osiris that is necessary of someone who has taken a high position of office.

Well my power as a guardian is limited, which is a good thing, but generally if I had found a threat to Osiris that was internal or external my first step would be to alert my fellow guardians of the situation at which point we’d have a discussion on the best course of action. One example would be to alert the pharaoh to propose the revoking of the citizenship of someone who threatens to damage the sage and secure state that Osiris enjoys. Then the next step would be to alert the council of scribes, it is important to have transparency in the rational behind our actions. Then we would have to look into permanent solutions by bringing in the legislative branch, to produce checks to avoid such attempts from internal or external agencies. In terms of a threat from the other members of our community in power, I think its unlikely to happen, but the key would be to work with the agencies that are uncorrupted to keep those who wish to take power for illegitimate purposes from doing so. Thanks for you question, I’m happy that we have dedicated community members like you who take the time to ensure the legitimacy of those being brought into power.

Excellent responses, thank you. I'm going to motion this to go to a vote. If others wish to ask questions I recommend that they do so, but I'm satisfied with Jur and his abilities to be a productive member of the Council of Guardians.

I believe we are still in the mandatory discussion period, but I'll go ahead and second the motion to vote.

I figured we still were in that period, but I don't mind registering a motion especially if there aren't further questions being thrown at the nominee.

In the mean time, I suppose the nominee could partake in the great Osiran tradition of providing voters booze for their votes? :P
