Transdavisia for Cheif Vizier: A New Age!
Hey there, Osiris.

I've silently been here (not exactly silently- I spam and participate in some priesthoods.)

When I see the office of the Chief Vizier, I see a leader- a person who rallies the region, a person who represents the region, a person who commands the region. I'd like to be that inspirational person. I'd like to lead the community out of dissatisfaction and inactivity into a "New Age". This region recently faced one of it's biggest conflicts in history, a coup resulting in a civil war. I want to regroup the community and lead them on the right path by setting the shining example for all citizens and future Chief Viziers.

Today I am proud to announce my candidacy for Cheif Vizier of the Osiris Fraternal Order.

Enough with fancy-schmancy inspirational speeches, though. Let's get down to business.

Integration

It's hard integrating people onto the forum. It's hard. I don't know anyone who joined the forum right now because their nation CTEd. I personally was fleeing from the NPO after an embarrassing term as Imperial Governor. Most people joined because they've heard of Osiris after being here a while. That's the problem. To fix it, I suggest writing a welcome dispatch with all the names of re-founded non-puppet nations and then telegram them, personally telling them what they can do. Maybe welcome a few nations on the RMB? (I can go more in-depth on this if you'd like.) This will lead to more nations/newcomers feeling more welcomed back into NS. Once someone joins the forum or responds to the manual welcome TG, then the sender (or in the case of them joining the forum, a volunteer) goes more in-depth about the community and answers any questions that the newcomer has. This could possibly be turned into a fun competition to see who can successfully integrate the most newcomers.

Culture

This is a really neglected department. I'm sad to say that because it is a fundamental as some people might not believe. Culture keeps the region active and going. It's the step after Integration. Cormac and Xoriet are doing great with Legends of Osiris, and I plan to continue to do that and maybe pop up more of a variety of polls. (Maybe even resurrect the "What's your favorite potato chip flavor" poll?) This isn't the only step though in Culture I'd like to take. Another neglected thing is festivals- our last festival was in December, and I have to admit, that was pretty boring. What I'm thinking of is cross-cultural regional activities such as festivals (as mentioned) and roleplays. The third thing I would like to improve is graphic design. I think we should start on designing things like medals, letterheads, userbars, seals, and maybe even a new flag for the region?

Military

For newcomers, the military isn't really clear enough. There's just an "Enlist in the Sekhemet Legion" link in the WFE. This should be changed to something more captivating, but I'm not going to go all into it. My Vizier will definitely hold training sessions to get newcomers into true raiding, not just piling. The second thing is to revitalize the rank system to merit instead of position in the region. (I find that quite strange.) The rank images would also be redone, instead of having RL military ranks we will have Egyptian-themed ranks. We will also focus on helping allies such as The Black Hawks or Lone Wolves United in operations, and possibly Grand Central if they ever cool down their steam. (get it? trains? steam?)

Foreign Affairs

Since the recent coup and the shattering of diplomatic ties and treaties with several regions, we have created a stain on our robe. However, we can reach out to current and possible embassies, creating treaties. With graphic design, on a lesser side note, I'd like to create userbars for Ambassador XYZ to Region ABC. (Kind of like TNP, if you know what I'm talking about)

Justice

With my Vizier, we will be starting mock trials to train the general populace on how to conduct good arguments in court cases. When the Department is not hosting mock trials, it will act as a less interactive (than the Mock Trials) training ground for members of a public defense service that members will volunteer to defend any citizen in a court case.

Media

Crap, I almost forgot this one! The Media department will be chugging out issues of the Renaissance Weekly and the Osiris Oracle, but it'll be way more than a seemingly rotating schedule of people to interview. We'll be writing about events abroad in things like gameplay, or discussing things like what makes a good candy. Private media will be started up again and highly encouraged.

WA Affairs

I plan to make Osiris a major player in the World Assembly by hosting a type of World Assembly Convention- basically the NSWF but WA style. There would be open discussions about different areas of influence of the WA (Education, Human Rights, etc.), and some about gameplay for people who love the Security Council. The best part is is that everyone on NS is invited in the discussion!

Activity

I have two other regions I reside in- Grand Central and The Universal Allegiance. I'll be fully prepared to take on the role of Chief Vizier here in Osiris- I don't plan on running for any government position in either of those regions.

As for my Viziers, I will make sure that they are 100% reliable and active so that we can make this term a massive success.

Thank you. I will now take any and all questions!

This is the most detailed platform by far. I definitely appreciate the thoughtfulness :D

Is there anything you'd like to add regarding your chances in the elections or other candidates? Anything else you'd like to say to convince others that you are the best person for the job?

Thank you Jakker! :)

I do think I have a very well chance but Ridersyl is more experienced and popular within the community so I don't know if he or I will.

No, not really. I summarized it in 937 words and I think that's enough :P

Regents?
[6/3/2016 19:34:30] Lord Mazrim Rahl (Biyah): obviously she was gathering spell regents, so she could cast her end-of-term mass death spell. Young sorceress' must kill their Master before they are allowed to leave.
[6/3/2016 19:35:52] Gradea Sanguine: Makes sense
[6/3/2016 19:36:39] Lord Mazrim Rahl (Biyah): Hence, pray she learns well and doesn't have a dunce as a teacher... else the next generation that kills her will be weak, snobby and only half-trained. That is how society falls
[6/3/2016 19:37:30] Lord Mazrim Rahl (Biyah): I am a proud member of MAWS. Men against weak sorcerers/eses

Of course. I'm the boss of the Viziers so I can say whatever I want to them. :P

I might make some of my Viziers post bikini pics if the community requests so :P
