I think you would feel differently if Koth elaborated on what exactly Festavo did. It wasn't just a bad admin call anyone could have made; he deliberately screwed with Ivo's forum account using his abilities as a global moderator, because he was mad at Ivo for something that happened on Skype, if I recall correctly. Koth has all the details and can elaborate more, I'm sure.
That may be the case, that's why I said I'd conduct an inquiry, I don't have all the facts at this point. But, speaking strictly as an Osiran citizen and a Councilor of the Deshret, the last thing I want right now is anybody elaborating on anything; all I want at this point is for the general drama to die down and return to something that resembles normal business. I feel that rejecting candidates for the Hedjet, unless they're clearly and egregiously unsuitable, is not conducive to this objective. In my opinion, the best approach right now is to get a working government in place, then take it from there.
I would argue that committing a felony, and still being within the statute of limitations for it, would make one "clearly and egregiously unsuitable" to serve as Scribe of Justice.

I can understand wanting the drama to die down, but above and beyond my objections to any of the other nominees, I am super opposed to confirming someone to prosecute crimes who has, himself, committed a felony within the past six months.

Festavo will do fine as Scribe of Justice. He did fine as Pharaoh and he did fine as our Military Scribe. There's no reason to think he won't put forth a good effort as Scribe of Justice if a case ever comes up.

I will note that the felony he committed was while he was Pharaoh, using the global moderation abilities that were built into the Pharaoh user group, but no longer are due to his felony.

Have I said felony enough times for that to sink in yet, or nah?

Literally nothing in this post (except I guess about Scribe of War, he did pretty okay at that) can be backed up with any sort of believable proof. Festavo himself has stated he was a trash Pharaoh.

It's okay, Tomb used up all his vicious rhetoric in my campaign thread, attacking my character so his candidate would win an election, and has no more left to spend on a felon who jacked up someone's forum account because of a personal grudge.

He is always hard on himself which you among others have acknowledged in the past, his own opinion of his delegacy does not constitute proof of how it really was. He was just as good as a fair number of other pharaohs and he was a heck of a good war scribe and served admirably in that role.

He brought relevancy and operations back to the Legion and if he serves as SoJ with the same dedication he showed with the Legion then Osiris will benefit.

Can you name another Pharaoh who committed Administrative Abuse while in office, and did so in such an egregious way that it prompted forum administration to permanently take global moderation away from the Pharaoh user group?

Is there anything you people won't defend when it involves one of your faction? And don't deny that it's a faction, at this point, while you argue that someone who committed arguably one of the worst crimes we even have is the best person we have available to prosecute crimes.

I have to confess, to be entirely truthful, I am not sure that Festavo has the qualifications or temperament that would be required to serve as Scribe of Justice. I will also remark that in my years as an Administrator in various places, including Osiris, his actions on that forum account were completely new to me. I generally expect people to exercise great judgement when using their moderator tools, and the fact that it happened and we didn't discover it (as I was an Admin at that time) until Ivo reported it is troubling. The Pharaoh of Osiris should exercise even greater judgement during their time in Office, Festavo on that occasion did not.

I am troubled that I cannot provide an alternative candidate, and for that I apologise to the Pharaoh for that.

Is there anything you won't to do to be obstructionist? You've already clearly established you will oppose anything JW does on principle then let's leave it to the will of the deshret if he is confirmed or not. Its funny that you are insinuating there is a faction when you took such issue with "cabal" comments.

This isn't just me, others are also raising concerns with his nomination. Maybe you should pull your head out of your ass for a minute and actually consider, independent of recent issues, whether someone who just committed a felony in January should be prosecuting them in April.
