Heh, I'm not surprised. In terms of the players, it's a rather pointless game for them and just another injury/fitness risk.

Basically, and so many notable players in the NFL suffered injuries this year such as Tony Romo and JJ Watt, players like these who are all stars and have the contracts to prove won't want to risk that by playing a game that in the end, does not benefit them at all, instead, they will opt to get healthy and compete for the Superbowl next year. If they were to do just like the MLB and put something on the line, like whoever wins gets the next superbowl one of their conferences stadium or something of that note, then maybe. However the prizes for winning or losing are pathetic, they all made more than that when they signed their first contract and most of them make more than that in the way of bonuses throughout the year whenever they accomplish certain feats in their contracts. I can't remember the last player that was going to be in the Superbowl that accepted a Probowl bid. Really, this should be a game for youngsters who are still developing their game to get reps in during a real game scenario with few implications, and for a way to get scouts to scout out people who are hitting free agency this off season, that in my opinion, is where this game may find the most "life".
