But, I don't think you really get it regarding how to motivate people.

I think you are going to struggle motivate people with a mainly negative outlook. You can't just demand people are active and they treat Osiris as their number 1 priority. The regional leadership have to incentivise them why they should contribute more. We should embrace people that currently might only have Osiris as a low priority, but where the potential exists for them to do more here.

Talk more about opportunities for success, not just the impending doom if things don't improve.

Just trying to provide the kind of advice a younger NES may have benefited from.

That all said, I like your enthusiasm and drive. And honesty.
I thank you for the advice and compliments, NES. I wouldn't say my outlook is very negative. We can fix this and I believe we will. In regards to motivation, I am open to all suggestions. My hope is that having a good Culture Scribe will help with keeping people involved as well as other efforts, but all help is appreciated.

Jakker, I am not sure. I haven't asked anybody yet, but i feel Ainocra would be great if he is up for it again.

I didn't say "very negative" - I said "mainly negative". You've talked about problems, neglect, inactivity, collapse. But not much about the opportunities.

I appreciate that you are being honest about the challenges we face, and I'm not trying to say everything is rosy. But absolutely with the right Leadership everything could be turned around. That's not a criticism of current or former Leaders, just an observation from experience from the kind of leadership I've witnessed in the past in various regions. With the right skills and enthusiasm, its entirely realistic that in 2 months time we could well be topping 100 posts a day. And then what of our impending collapse? It will be forgotten, so long as the region remains secure.

My main point though was that you need to get the people who currently have Osiris as a lower priority on side, and motivate them to do more for Osiris. And you'll do that more effectively with a powerful vision for a prosperous future, than a narrative of doom if we do not all work harder.

Sorry about that.

As I said in my previous post, having an active Culture department will hopefully motivate people to be involved as well as activity in the military and legislature. I am not known to sugarcoat things and I am not going to start now. Activity is a big issue. Do I believe it will be the end of Osiris if nothing gets done? Not really. I do believe that staying inactive will hurt the region however. Do I believe it can be fixed? Of course. I do not think my message is negative at all, but that it is a positive message. It is reality.

You had me at Phest!

What about inter-GCR politics I don't get a strong sense of what our ties to other GCRs entail currently do you think working on those relationships could spur more activity overall?

I don't see how you can call your message positive when you said in your final sentence and I quote: "will you sit back and let Osiris continue its inactivity and, if this path continues, collapse."
Activity is a big issue yes, but it's a manageable challenge that can be fixed, not a crisis that spells the end of the OFO. Remember, “Fear is the path to the dark side. Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering.”

Look, I know senior figures are pushing the negative vibes, and I know you as a candidate need to look up to them and respect them. But don't let them fool you that they are infallible or anything is inevitable, or indeed that they know what they are talking about. Because its never that simple. Even the most intelligent minds can be easily clouded through emotion. I can safely say the only direct consequence of inactivity, is inactivity.

The main danger Osiris faces is thus not from inactivity itself, because like I said that can easily be reversed in the next 2 months - but a culture of fear and negativity - bred from years of problems, which are irrelevant but for in the emotional scars they have left behind. The problem is the negativity and mentality that the consequence of inactivity is some sort of dramatic collapse by a certain date. It's not, that is nonsense. The only way this region can collapse is if people with the power to do that choose to make that so.

If they don't wish to do that, then they and you, have nothing to fear - and every reason to believe that the future should be bright.

If you couped, what number ban would NES be in the grand scheme of it all.

I assure you this is key to my decision.

The electorate often asks who your cabinet would be simply to get a greater measure of your platform and character.

What would your ideal, all-star Osiran cabinet look like featuring Osirans past or present? (This includes people from before the OFO).
Culture>
Foreign Affairs>
Security Affairs>
Justice>
Integration>
Military>
WA Affairs>

Now, please tell me what your worst possible lineup could look like, using the same system - they must be a past or present Osiran.

I will only post the ones I can think of, dear Raven.

Scribe of War: Venico
Scribe of Security: Severisen
Scribe of Foreign Affairs: Lord Ravenclaw
Scribe of WA Affairs: Ainocra
Scribe of Justice: Lord Ravenclaw
Scribe of Media: Jakker
Scribe of Culture: Xoriet (?)

Worst cabinet? Empty/inactive scribes.

EDIT: Tim, I am not couping, but if I did, opposition would be banned so if that includes NES so be it.

To be fair, just like I asked Ainocra, instead of naming anybody or pushing you to take care of all the micromanagement, I'd rather know what projects you'd like each member of the cabinet to pay full attention to and how would you expect to coordinate with your cabinet, specifically:

Culture>
Foreign Affairs>
Security Affairs>
Justice>
Integration>
Military>
WA Affairs>

ALL OF THEM AS A WHOLE>

Culture: I would like the focus to be on RPs, events with other regions and some games. Anything to keep people involved.
Foreign Affairs: I would like to focus on a better relationship with TNP and TSP, for example. I would like to expand relations with any region we can benefit from. I would like FA and culture to work on events with other regions.
Security: Sev is doing a great job. Leave him to it.
Justice: I like Ainocra's mock trials idea. Besides that, I can't say much. A busy SoJ usually means people are breaking the law, which isn't good.
Military: My strength is military so I will closely involved with the military. I would like consistent activity and recruitment, as I have outlined before. As current SoW, I have led some good operations and I have worked to expand our allies. I have been told I have done a good job, but I am always self critical.
WA Affairs: This is my main weakness. I will be relying on my SoWAA to do that. So yeah. Not gonna lie.

All of them: I will be pushing them to be active and efficient. I will maintain communication via Skype and IRC as well as one on one.

Sorry for the rushed response.
