Ainocra,

Candidate Koth has submitted his platform and it differs from yours in the sense that he outlines his future plan for Osiris. As a voter, I'd be interested in hearing what your plan is. Will you stay with the status quo or will you like Koth, focus on areas you think is important and if so, what are these areas?

Thank you for the Question.

I do have a fairly detailed plan of goals I intend to outline for the various ministries of the Hedjet.
My intent is to outline a series of benchmarks for each of the ministries, give them tangible targets to strive for.
This is something I have laid the groundwork for as Vizier and will continue to advance if elected.

For example
I intend to appoint a scribe of foreign affairs and have a pretty hefty list of treaties and relations I want him to explore.

I have an ambitious agenda for the media and culture departments as well. I want them to work closely and move to a three week news cycle.
to not only get new people involved, but to keep everyone abreast of what's going on here in the Order. The more people know the easier it will be to get them involved in the role play and other activities.

I plan to make more use of the mass telegram system than in previous administrations using it to communicate everything from recruitment messages to information about holidays, honors or the latest issue of the Oracle.

The more we can involve the people the better off we will be.

It may be prudent for you to be more specific about these goals, as it will be the Hedjet's role to fulfill, but the Hedjet are not the electorate. So far your campaign has been "Here is what I have done" and until Koth came in with a tangible vision and plan, that was it. Other than some vague statements like "I have a list of things to do," could you elucidate that for the voters?

Who do you have in mind as your FA scribe?

What treaties and alliances do you feel Osiris needs? Please outline why each is necessary to the OFO. List at least your top three priorities.

I find it interesting that you emphasize the need to move to a more frequent news cycle, yet chose a foreign media outlet to announce your candidacy in our region. It is akin to someone announcing their bid for the US presidency on BBC. Why not the Oracle? What changes, besides more frequency, will you implement to make the Oracle more worthy of news from Osiris, such as candidacy declarations for the highest office?

How is it you actually plan to get people from the region onto the forums? Mass telegrams can become cumbersome and annoying to the populace. I personally block them in several regions because they were used far too much.

How do you intend to hold your scribes accountable? What will you do if one does not perform his or her job to your satisfaction?

Thank you for your time, and I look forward to your answers. Should I have more questions, I will post them as I think of them.

I'm happy to answer questions.

I'm somewhat loathe to name names for potential cabinet posts, feels kinda like counting my chickens before they've hatched.
Suffice to say he is a veteran with extensive experience in the minefield that comprises foreign affairs.

I see a great deal of potential in pursuing treaties with many of those regions we already have relations with.
Spiritus, The South Pacific, The North Pacific, are among those I would like to see at the table to start with and I see potential for exploring some cultural exchange and perhaps down the road treaties with several others.

Tim has done a great job mending fences with the international community and I wish to see that trend continue. A big part of that is outreach, I will with very few exceptions extend the hand of friendship to any who are willing to take it. Foreign engagement is in my view a vital part of maintaining and expanding the OFO's standing among our fellow GCR's.

To be honest the announcement was simply a stroke of good fortune, I had intended to announce the day before nominations opened but appearing on such a widely heard outlet was simply too good an opportunity to pass up. Part of the trouble with the Oracle has been that traditionally it has been a month to month cycle and if you miss a date for whatever reason it can put you exponentially behind. Rather than focus on large perfect articles I would instead like to see smaller articles on a more frequent basis. This would also allow a bit more flexibility in both the format and the timing and in the long run I think it would allow the oracle to be far better than it is now.

I understand your concern with mass telegrams, I have been there myself. I was thinking as a general rule to keep them fairly short, perhaps with links to some dispatches for those that want more information on a subject and running them about twice a week as a snapshot of what's going on. If it causes too much trouble I can adjust the rate fairly easily with this format without sacrificing information.

As for my scribes, I will give them each targets to meet. If they don't make it I will find out why and do whatever I can to help them get what they need to meet those goals. If they consistently fail to meet those goals then we will have to sit down together and figure out why and then work toward a solution from there.

The legion is a vital tool in our foreign policy. A robust legion would allow us greater flexibility in meeting our treaty obligations and projecting ourselves abroad. The legion has suffered from some problems, mostly recruitment and Festavo has been tireless in meeting these challenges and dealing with them. He has been an excellent scribe of war. I would like to see the legion grow, and will sit down with my scribe of war and work out a plan to see this happen as soon as I am elected. Again more of my targeted goals.
