Thank You, Osiris

I wanted to say a few words as this term comes to an end and we prepare to transition to the OFO's first elected Pharaoh and a new Vizier.

To be honest, when Venico, Koth, and I decided to launch the Osiris Fraternal Order I wasn't sure how it would be received by the Osiran community. I hoped that most Osirans would see that we were doing what was best for Osiris and that we had Osiris' best interests in mind and at heart. Despite some bumps in the initial implementation of the OFO, most of you did. Those of you who remained skeptical at first, and even one or two of you who were initially opposed, eventually came to see that we were doing our best and were only trying to provide a more secure, stable, and enjoyable Osiris. While many others in the interregional community kept their distance or rejected the OFO, Osirans embraced this new path forward and I am grateful for the strength and wisdom of this community in deciding to pursue this path with us.

I am also grateful for the steadfast support of our friends and allies in the interregional community who have assisted us in this transition to a more secure, stable, and active Osiris. It's not an exaggeration to say that we couldn't have accomplished a fraction of what we have done without their support, and I hope the Osiran community will always remember who stood behind and beside us during this transition and work to continue strengthening the bonds between Osiris and these regions.

I was first elected to serve as your Pharaoh in June 2013 and my primary involvement in NationStates has been here, in Osiris, ever since. It hasn't always been easy, and I would be lying if I said there weren't times I wanted to throw in the towel, but looking back on all of it I wouldn't rather have been doing anything else. Despite the hard times, it was an honor and a privilege to serve as your Pharaoh. It was an honor and a privilege to work alongside Pharaoh Detective Figs (AKA Astarial) as she proposed so many of the foundational ideas that are still guiding the OFO today. It has been an honor and a privilege to serve as your first Vizier in the Osiris Fraternal Order, and I look forward to continuing to work with all of you to continue growing a more healthy community and more stable region.

If there is one thing that Osiris has proven over the past year and a bit, it's that we are a community of fighters. We will fight for our region and this community, and it is this fighting spirit, this perseverance, that has made all of this worth it for me. My hope for Osiris is that this community will keep fighting to make our region the kind of home we want to see it become. We're finally on our way to where all of us want to see this community go, and I hope all of us will keep persevering until we reach the finish line. So many of you have given me that boost I've needed to keep going over these past seven months, and while I may be leaving office as your Vizier, I promise that I will always be here to encourage, to advise, to support, and yes, to fight, whenever I'm needed.

For the many times you have fought alongside me for the future of this region, and for fighting alongside Venico, Koth, and I over this past month and a half, from the bottom of my heart I want to thank you, Osiris. Thank you for seeing a brighter future for our region and fighting to make that future reality. Thank you for letting me look back on how I've spent these past seven months in NationStates and see that it has all been worth it.
