Once again, this may need a bit of explanation.
I have said before that, if I were given the chance to create a Massively Multiplayer Online Roleplaying Game, it would be one where you play as a dragon. Character creation would start with a simple design like the one on the right, with lots of options for the face, horns, back, tail, etcetera. Then, after some levelling up, you would choose your Primary Trait.
Dragon: Wings, damage and armour. A strong all-round option that gets one extra Secondary Trait choice.
Ryu: Magic and floating, at the expense of physical strength and resilience. The highest ceiling magic-wise.
Hydra: An extra head and regeneration. Naturally inclined towards tanking roles, but locked out of Magic and Curses.
Wyvern: Flying, speed and high damage, but lower resilience and no access to Curses, heavy armour or Magic. For Assassin builds.
Drake: Humanoid dragons with access to weapons, but the slowest movement.
Wurm: The largest and able to burrow for devastating burst damage ambushes, but lower attack speed.
Then, over the course of the game, you choose three (or four, if you went with Dragon) Secondary Traits.
Extra Head: Gives hydras a total of 3 heads, and the others 2.
Breath: A series of ranged attacks, air blasts by default but able to be synergised with Venom and Elemental Affinity.
Elemental Affinity: Gaining bonus effects like Lightning or Fire, at the cost of lower raw damage.
Kobold Militia: Minion master builds!
Dwarf Slavesmith: Access to Heavy Armour. Not available to Wyverns.
Sword Fangs: Higher bite damage, good for Wurms and synergises well with Extra Heads.
Armour Scales: Extra resilience, at the cost of a little movement.
Curses: Debilitating effects on attacks or passive abilities. Not available to Hydras or Wyverns.
Magic: Gives other subraces access to Ryu magic, and makes Ryu magic stronger. Not available to Hydras or Wyverns.
Venom: Adds toxic damage to melee and breath attacks, at the cost of some raw damage.
Camouflage: Stealth.
Land/Weather Control: Choose 1. Grants changeable aura effects.
The basic gameplay would be terrorising a nation in your solo area as a main story, involving fighting armies, heroes and other monsters, while your Hoard grows and your Kobolds make you new gear. Then there would be the Multiplayer areas, where you can join clans and fight raids, engage in player versus player, etcetera. One of the player versus player options would be invading someone else's lair in search of their hoard, and you can set traps in your lair to help prevent that.
