As some of you know, I am intending to give my nation an overhaul for its 13th anniversary over the next couple of months. As such, I would like to give my nation's current stars a fitting end, and I am looking for ideas, so any contributions would be greatly appreciated. It can be anything really, and I will pick out the most interesting. The most pertinent pieces of information about the characters are -
- They are expert warriors.
- They have sentient weapons that grant them each unique reality-warping abilities.
- They are highly technologically advanced, so their armour is very strong.
- They can teleport (which can be charged for longer distances)
- They are surrounded by a field which teleports any projectiles targeting or coming from them into a black hole. It is most effective against solid projectiles however, and cannot fully stop powerful weapons of other kinds, such as flamethrowers or lasers.
The setting is a universe created around them for the sole purpose of bringing them down, filled with non-copyright-infringing versions of pretty much every fictional setting and more, in a conflict that goes on for decades. Thus, the options are very open.
Below you will find a few links to more elaborate descriptions expanding upon the points above, and then the 12 characters I need to kill. I am saving the leader of the 1st fleet for myself, as he will play a major role in altering the nation to its new state.

8th Fleet Representative Joan zho Firebreaker
Idea:
8th Fleet Representative Joan zho Firebreaker
Idea:
Spoiler
The 8th fleet is teleported to the Anti-Tethysi Universe. Joan zho Firebreaker, caring for the safety of her fleet, quickly assumes a defensive stance as they find themselves in a vast void, surrounded by unknown stars. Soon a transmission reaches the fleet.
“The Beasts of the Stars return. You said no matter the ages that may pass, we should twist this rod and speak into it our plight, and you shall be our salvation.”
The Town that Joan had saved in her story has grown from the medieval age to an early space faring age. Through the years, the story of the ‘Knights’ was passed down and placed in the central temple that formed the heart of the survivor’s new kingdom. Now they have seemingly been teleported to this strange new universe or may help serve as a guidepost back to the Tethysi’s prime universe. In any regard, they are in danger enough to have activated the rod Joan left with them after hundreds or thousands of years. Perhaps more or less years depending on relativity.
It is a long distance. The Fleet charges their teleportation drives to drop in on the edge of the solar system. They will gauge the situation from there and teleport directly over the village if deemed necessary. A Tethysi navigator briefly comments this may be the longest jump the fleet has taken in a long time. Eventually the drives engage, and the fleet appears on the edge of the system.
The crisis in question is inspired by Stellaris’s Ether Drake, Godzilla Earth, and a few giant space creatures in various media. The 8th Fleet arrives in time to see violent seismic activity across the planet. Lava vomiting from the planet. Various early spaceships leaving the planet. A Massive Draconic Fleet outnumbering the 8th Fleet 50 to 1 in ship numbers, perhaps even more so in life signs.
The 8th fleet engages in a desperate battle to relieve the ailing survivors and their escape. Several Tethysi scientists immediately set up slowing or stopping the planets violent collapse. Several ships with crews more prone toward logistics start teleporting the civilians to safety. The Draconic fleet is composed of ships of no uniform design. Though almost all scale into the Battleship range in terms of size alone. Each of the Dragons ships is armed with several energy weapons capable of spewing draconic fire at massive range. The inside of each ship is heavily decorated with various treasures, gold leaf, and encrusted jewels plus various pieces of art. The Draconic fleet is primarily crewed by small draconic humanoids (Kobolds essentially) loyal to the large lumbering lizards that serve as the captains of each ship. These creatures engage in swarm tactics against Tethysi boarding parties, each with weapons designed to vomit fire or crude melee weapons. A few of these small draconic humanoids, are gifted with magical weaponry and armor to serve as crude, lesser recreations of Tethysi armor and weapons. Regardless, each ship is cheaply and crudely trapped to slowly chip away at the Tethysi resources and numbers. The Captain of each ship is a colossal dragon with wingspans in excess of 150 ft and a length of 100 ft plus. Numerous smaller dragons take up the officer positions of each ship.
The Fleet takes up a passionate battle. Eventually, things shift from overwhelming to an even battle. Then the planet cracks. A significant amount of the planet’s population has been evacuated, but not a majority as the planet is consumed in fire. Large chunks of planet fly into ships on both sides, though less of the draconic fleet is affected. This is due to the draconic fleet expecting the sudden explosion, the Tethysi taking up a defensive stance around the planet, and the draconic fleet allowing them to enter orbit around the planet. In the ruins of the planet a massive creature remains.
The planet served as an egg to a new draconic entity. Long and wyrm like the Aether Drake emerges. Its eyes, maw, and tendrils glow with the light of the planet’s molten core. The Tethysi soon notice a series of magical sigils on the Drake’s body, as it grows beyond the planet’s original mass. The embers of the dying planet crystalize in the Drake’s stomach into a magical star. The body of the Aether Drake is composed of metal cells and tissues, each capable of generating a massive electromagnetic field. This allows the Drake to generate a powerful shield around its entirety. The shield can be momentarily compromised by the Drake to generate a world ending beam of energy. No legitimate organs exist in the Drake’s body and what damage does penetrate the shield and layers of metal cells is quickly regenerated from the energy of the star in it belly. The Drake’s Stellar gullet is constantly renewed in strength due to the magical sigil’s involved in the Drake’s creation having formed a connection to this Universe’s magical weave. The matter taken from the Star to renew the Drake is replenished from the magical weave. This essentially creates of Star with infinite fuel.
The Aether Drake begins rampaging in the center of the Tethysi fleet. Simultaneously, the Draconic fleet allows this distraction to press the attack as they recklessly charge into the Tethysi ranks. Backs against the wall the Tethysi are at their best. The planet’s survivors have finished evacuating, allowing the full weight of the Fleet to come down upon the Dragons.
Joan engages the Aether Drake directly. Constantly nullifying the heat emitted by the Aether Drake’s attacks. In some counter attacks even extinguishing the Drake’s star itself, only to have it renewed by the magical weave. In the last climatic moment, Joan exerts herself to the fullest extent of her power, extinguishing the heat in the magical weave itself. The Aether Drake corpse falls silent as it’s star dies. The still exists at a fraction of its power as the Draconic fleet is mopped up. Joan, exhausted from the over exertion smiles at herself due to a job well done. Another civilization is safe thanks to her actions.
Multiple signatures begin dropping out of warp. Tethysi technicians in the sensor array relay the life signs appear to match those of the Dragonian Alliance, but the ship designs are unknown. This is an alternate universe Dragonian Alliance (one where I chose Tal Vanti as the name instead of the Dragonian Alliance. Also based on Star Trek instead of Star Wars). A message relays on all channels.
“We are the Tal Vanti. You will be exterminated. Resistance is irrelevant.”
The entire solar system is soon surrounded in a self-replicating mine field as Tethysi teleportation is jammed. The 8th fleet fights on valiantly as their ships are dissected and the last of the fleet is annihilated by the full might of the Tal Vanti Migrant Extermination Fleet.

Re: Tethys 13 Leader Slaying Ideas Contest
General Submissions:
I am not really tied to any particular leader for these slaying submissions.
Disclaimer: Tethys and the Citizens of Tethys hold all rights to approve, edit, and rewrite the idea below as it is merely the major beats of an overarching idea. All glory to the Tethys 13 revamp and the Hypnotoad.
Ideas:
1. The Fleet (3?) in question is transported to an unstable part of this new universe. As such the matter around the fleet is not quite right. For example, entire continents are made of ice cream with oceans of chocolate. As the Fleet moves throughout the sector they find themselves in, they discover more odd examples, like planets made of flesh, pizza, unidentifiable/redacted matter, liquid nitrogen, and other such oddities (just go wild). As the fleet continues to explore, casualties from eventual system malfunctions mount as it is almost impossible if not unreliable to find necessary materials (I assume the Tethysi arent a complete Autarky so require some form of trade or interaction with the physical world). New Tethysi that begin to spawn in are... wrong. They are more akin to eldritch abominations than actual Tethysi. As time goes on, casualties mount and the abominatons appear to evolve and take on more Tethysi traits (like being able to use their unique weapons). Ways to shut off Tethysi spawning seem to turn back on, malfunction, or just not work whether due to lack of maintenance, lack of materials, or some other unseen force is unknown. It is a slow grind, but with no way to regain reinforcements, ships slowly begin to fall. The fate of the fleet culminates in a single climatic struggle of multiple former Tethysi vessels against the flag ship of the fleet. Boarding parties are used on both sides, but attrition and entropy is a losing battle at the end of the day. The fleet falls as the flag ship is consumed by monstrous eldritch foes (possibly similar in design to the Flood from Halo [mainly thinking Gravemind for the final boss]).
(Inspiration)
2. The Fleet (2) in question visits are recreation of the Hyades Cluster. There they find a planet home to an Immemorial City on the shore of Lake Hali. The patron, dressed in all yellow, of the city invites the Tethysi openly to a play, as they collect their bearings. The planet is unusual for it black stars, twin suns, and the lengthening of the shadows of thought. The play goes well, but as the second act begins several Tethysi start to go mad. The Fleet soon finds themselves fighting an ancient being obsessed with Nihilism, Madness, and Doom. The longer the Tethysi stay in this engagement the more they lose to madness despite any victories against the Eldritch Horrors infesting the world. In time the King in Yellow slays the captain of the fleet, but a young retainer takes up their captain's sword and slays the King in Yellow in the final moments. All is well and calm, until the young retainer becomes the new King in Yellow (or atleast an avatar of the Elritch being behind it all).
Inspiration: Hastur on the planet Carcosa. They should be uncopyrightable as they appear in so many works, but if not its easy to be vague with Lovecraftian Nightmares (adds to the suspense at the very least).
3. The Fleet (6) in question visits a planet akin to if the Fallout Universe achieved space travel. The Fleet immediately finds itself in the middle of the home system of a space faring civilization that has culturally never left the Atomic Punk stage, but has Technologically mastered the power of the Atom to an insane degree. The Tethysi find themselves surrounded by starships that look like they belong in a retro scifi movie. As boarding parties engage the Tethysi find themselves matched up against waves of low defense infantry with high power weapons, mutated local wild life that can turn invisible, and highly advanced power armor akin in defensive value to 40K supersoldiers. The fight is hard fought, but culminates in a massive battle between nuke throwing mechs with tesla death beams for eyes spouting anti-communist propaganda (Liberty Prime) vs the elite of the Tethysi Fleet.
4. The Fleet (7) is some how infected with spores of a highly advanced fungus, turning the fleet into mutated monstrosities controlled by a mass of flesh somewhere in the sector, the size of a large city. The Overmind in question has collected the knowledge of an entire Galactic Sector, if not more. Zombies mixed with Xenomorphs, Tyranids, Zerg, and the Flood. Combine the stealthiness of the Xenomorphs on ships, the Tyranids and Zerg sheer adaptability and numbers, and the Flood's ability to incorporate knowledge and ability to spread through incurable spores.

Target: The 4th Fleet's Representative - Xin zho Swiftriver
Idea: The 4th Fleet is transported to the New Universe in a section controlled by a civilization that has reached the height of technology based on willpower. Having discovered that technological progress accelerates the death of the Universe, they endeavor to destroy any technologically advanced civilization or reduce them to a safe technological level. These beings seek to impose hopelessness upon the Tethysi in all ways. Each form of combat, tactic, and climatic moment is countered with an equally powerful form, tactic, or climatic moment. They seek to defeat the Tethysi in the way they Tethysi fight and possess the technological power, versatility, and determination to do this. The Tethysi fight distorted ships (with visages horrifying to the Tethysi) using Tethysi tactics and alternate versions of Tethysi Sentient Weapons. Through willpower, determination, and the laws of anime the Tethysi make it through the battles, a sea of antimatter, and a psychological trap in which the Tethysi are trapped in their own mind's paradise. The final climax is essentially Xin Zho Swiftriver fighting a being that is harnessing entire Univerves and dimensions worth of energy to enhance its speed and reflexes to counter Xin Zho Swiftriver's ability. The battle ends with Xin Zho Swiftriver reaching his limit or harnessing the power to transcend beyond the Tethysi. In either event, the Fleet would be destroyed, whether in reality or in practicality.
Inspiration: Gurren Lagann (I dont recall you liking this anime [atleast as much as me])

Re: Tethys 13 Leader Slaying Ideas Contest
Last Day Submissions:
Submission:
---Target: Fleet 5
---Inspiration: Ragnarok
---Idea: The fleet is teleported into the new universe above a crude recreation of Yggdrasil. The Tethysi do battle alongside crude recreations of the Norse Gods, Loki's Children, Ice Giants, and the rest. Eventually, as in all things with Ragnarok the Tethysi perish while felling their destined counterpart.
Submission:
---Target: Fleet 9
---Inspiration: Lord of the Rings, Fallen Paladins, and Majora's Mask
---Idea: The 9th Flee finds there ships are spawned deep beneath a planets crust in the new Universe. The ships are heavily damaged, due to randomly fusing with local rock formations. Tethysi technology and resources are heavily damaged and casualties mount from the initial chaos. Though the Tethysi quickly regroup and form a deep underground complex. A few creatures dig too deep and release the Tethysi. They awaken to a world in a war against good and evil. Divine spiritual beings take up both sides of the conflict. The Tethysi quickly ally themselves with the dying race of greedy miners who freed them from their prison. In the coming years the Alliance against evil finds itself naturally forming around the Tethysi leadership and their elite warriors. The battle is still desperate as the Tethysi cannot be everywhere at once. Though in time the tide of war is turned as the Tethysi march upon the great fortress of the Evil Dark Overlord. All the while, the One Mask is being taken to the Mask Shop from whence it was made by a group of lowly creatures resistant to the mask's corrupting influence. The forces of good only have three days before the moon falls and reshapes the world in the Overlord's image. The final battle at the gates of the Overlord end in Victory for the Tethysi, though they find themselves betrayed. Lakshmi zho Radiance betrays her fellowship and takes the mask for herself. In her hubris she fails to stop the moon from falling and dies in the resulting calamity. Though there is still the chance her twisted essence lives on, if only in Tethysi Legends. {The general idea is of a slow corruption of the 9th fleet leader into this darkened version of herself. She resists up until the last moment, in which she finally falls to the temptation of power}
Submission:
---Target: Fleet 10
---Inspiration: Grey Goo
---Idea: The fleet becomes infected with a series of dumb AI nanobots. Their only purpose is to reproduce and adapt to what prevents their reproduction.
Submission:
---Target: Fleet 11
---Inspiration: Stellaris the Reckoning and 40K Imperium of Man
---Idea: The 11th fleet teleports into the new universe. They soon find the Galactic community they are now apart of is in complete chaos. The Theocratic Empire that dominates a fifth of the galaxy. Each of the Theocratic Empire's worlds has spawned a manifestation of world's pure quintessential psionic energy. The Capitol has spawned a massive entity simply known as The Crisis. The vassals of this fallen empire were instantly obliterated along with the empire. The empire disappeared in a single day. Rumor has it the Divine Emperor sold his Soul to a mysterious being in exchange for god like power and a new golden age for his crumbling empire. They enjoyed ten thousand years of Golden Prosperity. Now they have paid the price and each of their worlds are now shrouded in a mysterious psionic ooze. Rumor has it the Exiles of the Empire exist on a long forgotten world ruled by the desiccated remains of their God Emperor. World by World begins to fall against these pure psychic manifestations. With each fallen world the Crisis grows in strength. The Tethysi valiantly do battle, but it is a losing battle with each casualty increasing the Crisis dramatically. The Tethysi in the final stages of the war, find and invade the Exile's new homeworld, looking for a secret or trick to defeating the Crisis. The Exiles of the empire have no idea. Mouha zho Starpiercer interrogates the God Emperor for days, but to no avail (If you want to write your own if the Emperor had a text to speech device). The Crisis consumes the Galaxy with the Tethysi in it. It eventually vanishes with no lifeforms to drain.
Submission:
---Target: Fleet 12
---Inspiration: King Midas
---Idea: the 12th fleet arrives in the new universe. The entity involved in creating this universe also found remnants of a Superweapon developed by the Dragonian Alliance. Though it is not exact or perfect, it is able to recreate the initial premise. A device is made able to curse those in a radius with the Midas Touch. Whatever they touch turns to gold. The ship, food, other Tethysi, their sentient weapons, water, and clothes begin to turn to gold while in the radius of this device. The Tethysi soon realize to get out of the radius, but the damage to themselves, their ships, and equipment is already done. Also the radius is slowly increasing. The Tethysi are forced to attack the device where its area of effect is strongest or continue fleeing an exponentially increasing radius. Liberty zho Stormblast whether motivated by a sense of justice or a scheme to turn this to her advantage eventually launches a full scale assault on the device. It goes horribly. Fighting their way through Golems made of Gold the Tethysi strike team finds themselves in the heart of the device. However, they are unable to decipher the arcane nature of the technology as whenever the touch the control panels they turn to gold and become inoperable, that and its a crazy mix of magic and technology.

---Target: Fleet 13
---Inspiration: Incomprehensible Horror, SCP, Lovecraft, Sarnath
---Idea: The 13th Fleet teleports into the new universe. The Galaxy they spawn into is overtly hostile and obeys no known laws of physics. Tethysi begin to behave oddly, eventually being discovered that unknown entities are taking over the bodies of Tethysi and assuming their life. Interrogation reveals they are from the future and fleeing what they call The End of Time. The waters of all habitable worlds appear to be infected with overtly hostile foes with distinctly fish like appearances. The 13th Fleet manages to eradicate this Fish Empire and take up residence in the ruins of the Empire. They assume it is best to stay in one place until other fleets are contacted. Meanwhile they can focus on developing greater technology to contact the other Fleets. They form a mighty civilization based on knowledge, science, and wisdom, but never realize they are were cursed in the final acts of their war. After a thousand years the Tethysi having lived on the bones of the Fish Empire and built on top of it celebrate the anniversary of their new empire's founding with a grand ceremony. A few weird occurrences have happened since the war, but many are now categorized and understood. The height of the celebration is marked with many of the Tethysi turning into the Fish they slaughtered all those years ago.

---Target: Fleet 9
---Inspiration: Lord of the Rings, Fallen Paladins, and Majora's Mask
---Idea: The 9th Flee finds there ships are spawned deep beneath a planets crust in the new Universe. The ships are heavily damaged, due to randomly fusing with local rock formations. Tethysi technology and resources are heavily damaged and casualties mount from the initial chaos. Though the Tethysi quickly regroup and form a deep underground complex. A few creatures dig too deep and release the Tethysi. They awaken to a world in a war against good and evil. Divine spiritual beings take up both sides of the conflict. The Tethysi quickly ally themselves with the dying race of greedy miners who freed them from their prison. In the coming years the Alliance against evil finds itself naturally forming around the Tethysi leadership and their elite warriors. The battle is still desperate as the Tethysi cannot be everywhere at once. Though in time the tide of war is turned as the Tethysi march upon the great fortress of the Evil Dark Overlord. All the while, the One Mask is being taken to the Mask Shop from whence it was made by a group of lowly creatures resistant to the mask's corrupting influence. The forces of good only have three days before the moon falls and reshapes the world in the Overlord's image. The final battle at the gates of the Overlord end in Victory for the Tethysi, though they find themselves betrayed. Lakshmi zho Radiance betrays her fellowship and takes the mask for herself. In her hubris she fails to stop the moon from falling and dies in the resulting calamity. Though there is still the chance her twisted essence lives on, if only in Tethysi Legends. {The general idea is of a slow corruption of the 9th fleet leader into this darkened version of herself. She resists up until the last moment, in which she finally falls to the temptation of power}
