However, one thing I do know is that whatever force motivated me to take charge of the Legion is almost entirely gone. Due to this, I am hereby stepping down as Moshir of the Sekhmet Legion, as I have no desire to command it anymore. I will remain an officer, and will occasionally do things as needed, but I have no wish to be in charge anytime soon.
I have had one hell of a great time in Sekhmet so far. And while my enjoyment largely came from the work I did, I was certainly not alone. I would like to thank the following individuals/groups of people:
- Everyone that was a Legionnaire at some point from May until now - I have had so much fun training, raiding with, and talking to you guys. I hope that you all will be successful in GP in some way or another.
- Altino - you are truly one of the most awesome people I have met in NS so far. Thank you for all that you have taught me, and for allowing me to learn from my many mistakes. I would have never risen to such heights in NS if I never met you.
- The military allies of the Sekhmet Legion - in R/D, numbers mean power, and the Sekhmet Legion has never had great numbers of its own (well, maybe in January, but that was an exceptionally prosperous time.) However, we have not been alone in many of our raids, from ordinary tag raids to huge operations. The help that the Sekhmet Legion has received from friendly militaries in The Black Hawks, The Empire of Mare Nostrum, The West Pacific, Hartfelden, Voltarium, The North Pacific, the Augustin Alliance, and other regions has allowed us to do things that we never could have done on our own. I cannot thank you enough for the support you have provided us, and I am deeply sorry if we not amply return the favor.
As anyone that cares enough to read the Osiris forum would know, Lynxi recently became the Pharaoh of Osiris. I would like to make it clear that I am not resigning now because I dislike her. I have wanted to resign for several weeks, and knew that today would be a good time to resign in order to ensure the smoothest possible transition. I know that Lynxi will do a great job with Sekhmet, as she does with most things that she leads. She is a talented leader and I would be happy to serve as Moshir under her if I was still enjoying my position.
I do not know what legacy I will leave behind in the Sekhmet Legion, or how my work will be perceived. While I have achieved great things here, my success has been limited in some ways. I never was able to train a single new officer, much less find a successor. I guess only time will tell.
