WHATUP MY GLIP GLOPS?
Let's hop right into this, because I have a meeting in an hour. No joke pals. I'm pretty qualified to serve as Chief Vizier (again). I served as the Vizier of WA Affairs twice under the glorious fearful successful reign of former Cheif Vizier Adytus. During this period, I served as Chief Scribe for a single term where I accomplished quite a bit, which was surprising due to the fact that there isn't many things for the Chief Scribe to do except be on time with moving things to the voting floor. One of these notable achievements was the creation of the Guide to Ma'at, a beginners guide to the Scroll of Ma'at and all of its articles, sections, and provisions, along with a guide to both the Legal Code and the Rules of the Council of Scribes. It wasn't an easy job, but I promised it in my campaign because I thought it would help newcomers in Osiris, and indeed it has. Another of my notable achievements as Chief Scribe was the creation of the Legislation Templates (Amendment section to be updated) that were made to be utilized as a tool for those writing legislation. My term as Chief Scribe was successful, as was my term as Chief Vizier.
I served as Chief Vizier before Altino, and had quite the successful term there as well. I promised few things in my campaign, because I was not planning on letting Osiris down. Once I ascended to office, I posted a checklist of ideas that I wanted to accomplish. We tended to do all of them, aside from the festival with TSP, which was an issue with their foreign affairs -- so nothing we could control; the GCR Sovereignty Accords Festival, which was an idea passed down to my successor Altino; and lastly an idea by one of our Legionnaires that ended up working... halfway. All other things such as the Pharaoh's Day Festival, the Monthly Endorsement Swap Dispatch (which is still sort of a thing, as I updated it last month), and more.
I have been a citizen of Osiris for over a year. I am extremely qualified to serve as Chief Vizier oncemore, even moreso than I was when I was elected 6 months ago.My policies are the same as they have been, so I'll keep it short and simple:
Foreign Affairs can be a b*tch. But I love b*tches. My term will be very weighted toward our Foreign Affairs, because I believe that is where Osiris has been struggling the most for quite some time. I might not be able to fix it, but we have plenty of room for improvement -- and improve is what we will do. An active Vizier of Foreign Affairs that also has past experiences in Foreign Affairs is what we need. I've said this once, twice, probably quite a few times -- and I'll say it again -- Foreign Affairs isn't just about updates. I could truly not care less if we post out a FA update or not. I am not going to force others, or myself, to write one up if nobody wants to. Although if someone enjoys writing those types of things, then by all means, I won't get in your way. Foreign Affairs is about our relations with other regions. If anything were to happen to us, which of our GCR allies would be here to back us? Would we back them if something happened to them? How can we do that without possibly upsetting one of our other allies? Sometimes quick decisions need to be made, and I am always available if need be.
Our Community Affairs is in a fantastic state at the moment. I have never been quite good at this ministry, but I will be sure to appoint someone that is the most qualified and good at community affairs in order to accommodate for my one and only weakness.
The Sekhmet Legion has been very successful recently, and I plan for it to remain in such a condition during my term. They have participated in several operations within the past couple months, and I am proud of them. GCR militaries are not easy to manage, especially those in Sinkers, but we have managed to show up some other raider organizations on the battlefield in terms of skill and discipline.
Lastly, WA Affairs is one of my other proficiencies. I am the author of SC#225 and the creator of the Security Council Resolutions by Author thread. I am not an expert in the General Assembly, but I am very familiar with the Security Council and its functions and predicting delegate votes, which could come in handy. When I served as Chief Vizier, I created the Osiris Endo Swap dispatch upon ascending office, and later I updated it with The Egyptian Swap (a much better name). This ministry is sort of tricky, because there is nothing to do because there is so much that is possible. If desired, we can write proposals as a region, or just manage World Assembly Affairs within our in-game region. There are plenty of opportunities and possibilities in the WA sphere of NationStates. We do not have to seize all of them, but we should definitely get our World Assembly Affairs department back in business.
