[Passed] The Holidays Act

I wish to propose the following legislation with the goal to promote our own culture and celebrate days that are important to the OFO.

Holidays Act
An act recognizing events worth of celebration I. Public Holidays

1. The following days shall be designated as public holidays
a. Cash Day- February 26th; a day to honor the birthday of the greatest man in music, Johnny Cash
b. Pharoh's Day- April 18th; a day to celebrate our government and our Pharoh.
c. Foundation Day- October 18th; a day to celebrate the creation of Osiris

2. Any date may be added or removed to this by following the standard procedure for amending legislation set forth by the Scroll of Ma'at.

Awesome! And maybe the founding of this government! I am not sure of the exact date. Any other holiday ideas?

I was think there should be holiday commemorating the OFO but I would need the date for it. Maybe someone who knows Osiris history could tell us?

Edit: Also what if Cash Day was called Cashmas and we added September 12th as a day for mourning the loss of Cash?

Edit 2: Okay so instead of September 12th being a day of Mourning we celebrate the Ascension Cash into a higher state where he can bless everyone at the same time. Ascension Day.

Perhaps the founding of Osiris would be a good day too! Not sure of that date either, but we held a festival with Balder when it happened so it is something I assume we already celebrate every year.

I agree and maybe something to do with the pharaoh as well. Like the pharaoh's official birthday or something

I like the idea of having public holidays. I love the idea of the founding of Osiris (as a GCR) and the founding of the OFO (our current government) being regional celebrations.

The whole celebrating Johnny Cash however, seems a touch immature to put it lightly.
