Happy Wepet Renpet! As with many traditional celebrations of the New Year around the world and across time, ancient Egyptians wished for prosperity, good fortune, and more during the festivities surrounding the summer solstice, return of the star Sirius, and the inundation of the Nile.

Here in the Land of the Dead, we too observe the wish-making traditions, so please post them here and take a moment to reflect upon last year’s wishes:

I am wishing more than most things this year for good health, for all, of course, but especially those I care about, and that everyone dealing with mental health struggles finds the support they need to be happy and fulfilled.

More selfishly: to find more time to travel. That would be nice. :>

I may be back later but I'll wish for good health, specifically health of everyone in government in the hopes we do not all get sick in the same two week span again.
