Star Wars has a lot of lore, and, consequently, a lot of ships. And, as a consequence of that, a lot of ships get mashed together. Welcome to this year’s Star Wars Competition! This year, we’re going to put your artistic talents to the test as we have you cook up the best “ugly” ship!

An “Ugly” in Star Wars is a starship that is made up of two or more different types of craft. Often taken from the spare parts of other ships that were just lying around, Uglies are in large part, flying pieces of junk. They often found their use with pirates, smugglers, and other groups who simply couldn’t afford to build proper starships of their own. Most Uglies used a combination of two other fighters (A Y-TIE, a X-Ceptor, etc), however, there are Uglies that used cockpits from other vehicles, like AT-AT or AT-ST Walkers. While some had the fundamental idea of combining the two ships would get both of their best traits, more often than not the resulting combinations would get the worse traits of both vehicles and need additional maintenance to boot!

So, let's cut to it! We want all of you to make some absolutely fantastic Ugly Starships, using whatever means necessary! Here are the rules:

1. Your ship design contains at least one fundamental part from an already design. The rest is up to you, but have at least one part of your ship design be related to an already existing vehicle design from sci-fi(X-Wing, AT-AT, Battlestar Viper, Star Trek Constitution, etc). You are not restricted in size, your ship can be anything from a small starfighter to a massive capital ship.
2. Use whatever art tools you have available! Drawing, modeling, digital art, photoshop. Whatever your preferred means, we encourage it. However, we will ask that you refrain from using any AI image generators, we want to see what you can come up with on your own, regardless of personal skill.
3. We love overcomplicating our designs for the love of the game. The Pharaoh will look kindly on those who can include a common household item in your design. Forks, soda cans, brooms, lamps; anything you are crafty enough to include!
4. All Images should be submitted by May 29th. All participants are allowed up to 2 submissions. From there, Community Affairs will pick out the top three designs. Those three will get submitted to an RMB poll to pick out a winner!

Statement-Class Mobile Orbital Dock
(stretching the brief a bit, I know)

The Statement-Class Mobile Orbital Dock was conceived as a symbol of the Empire's might, to be placed in orbit of a rebellious world. Moving the dock through hyperspace requires a special tow-ship, designed to fit within the centre. Once it is placed in orbit, it maintains its position with minimal thrusters. The Statement-Class takes on its true form once Star Destroyers are docked to it. When a Star Destroyer docks, massive energy conveyance bays extend from the adjacent arms, enclosing the Star Destroyer and connecting to its engines. This can be used for very swift refuelling, or, if six Star Destroyers are docked, they can activate their engines to have all of that power transmitted to the Mass Beam Array, firing down eighteen massive lasers towards the surface of the planet. These lasers are horribly energy-inefficient and have very poor penetrative power, making them a poor choice for sieges against shielded or well-fortified targets, but quite effective at destroying large areas of forest or farmland. The first such dock created, named the Scorn of Scarif after the world its designer worked from, was lost during its second deployment when rebels sabotaged the Mass Beam Array, causing the engines of the six Star Destroyers to instead propel them into a collision, tearing the dock apart in the process. The design was swiftly abandoned.
