Happiness List ( Weekly )

“Begin this journey to discover the keys to your own unique happiness and bring more joy and balance into your life through the power of lists! Here, there will be weekly prompts to create a list that will help you
reflect, acknowledge, invest in yourself, and ultimately transform, your life.”
So, I bought this “happiness book” by means of creating lists from weekly prompts; 52 weeks worth - one for each week of the year. I decided I would like to kick 2023 off right by giving it a go. The year is divided into four quarters:
Reflect,
Acknowledge,
Invest, and
Transform. Anyone and everyone is welcome to participate right along with me on this journey of creating lists!~
Here’s to beginning with ‘Reflect’.

Week One : List what makes you happy right now~
•Going shopping with mom.
•Spending time with [friend’s name].
•The Osiris Community.
•Listening to music.
•Conlanging and worldbuilding.
•Casual drinks with friends.
•Getting to eat sushi.
•Mine and mom’s inside-jokes.
•When I cook a meal and everyone enjoys it.
•Going to big cities.
•TAKIS.
•Owls.

- Exercise
- Drink more fluids

“Take action on last week’s list!
How often do you actually get to experience these things? Just like learning to read, gaining the wisdom of experience of happiness takes practice! Take one item from last week’s list and see how you can turn it into a daily practice of happiness.”
I’m choosing “Listening to music.” I will try and listen to music each and every night before bed or while I do house chores.
Week Two :
List the routines in your personal life and work~
•
Wake up.*
•
Check my socials.
•
Brush my teeth.*
•
Shower, then get ready.*
•
Drink a bottle of water/cup of coffee.*
•
Check on mom and if she’s awake yet.*
•
Administers mom’s morning medications (when she wakes).*
•
Typically driving to town to run errands.
•
Grab lunch, usually at McDs [McChicken sandwhich + sweet tea].*
•
Might treat myself to Starbucks.*
•
Return home & check Osiris + TCB.*
•
House chores; typically laundry.
•
Watches Disney (or something else) with mom.*
•
Cook dinner, typically something quick.
•
Administers mom’s nightly medications.*
•
Puts mom to bed.*
•
Chat a little on Discord.*
•
Watch Netflix ( or something of-the-other ).*
•
Go to sleep.*
•Repeat~
*Should note, that I do take breaks throughout the day to chat on Discord; not just at nighttime. Hehe.

my daily schedules includes
- get woken up by dog
- pet dog
- worship dog
- walk dog
- pet the dog
- give the dog treats
- dog

Lady is such a good dog. Worthy of reverence.
Routines in my personal life and work (these are in the process of changing rather rapidly as I enter another phase of my life so I'm only going to list the most consistent things):
- Wake up around 5am, give or take a bit.
- Check my phone for anything urgent or urgent-enough.
- Do some stretches, throw on some clothes, then either do some light home workouts or hit the gym.
- Return home for a shower, breakfast, and brushing my teeth.
- Sit down to run through any emails or messages I need to respond to.
- Squeeze in a couple house chores (washing dishes from breakfast, laundry, etc.).
- Attend to work and work-related things for the next few hours.
- Take breaks to do a couple minutes of jumping jacks, pet my cat, or respond to a message somewhere.
- Decompress after work with a walk.
- Evenings are pretty open. I've been spending a lot of time dealing with IRL family stuff lately during this part of the day.
