Happy Pokemon Month Everybody!

I have been informed that people like Pokemon and designing things, therefore I am holding a competition. Design a starter for the Region of Osiris.
Rules:
1. Design has to be themed to the Region.
2. You can submit a max of 3 Pokemon Designs.
3. Tethys has to submit 3 Pokemon Designs.
4. When done with your Design, post it here. It can be a description, picture, gif, etc as long as we get a good idea of what you are submitting.
5. Have Fun.
6. Nothing inappropriate. Use your judgement.
7. Be Awesome.

The competition will end on 1/24. After that a vote will be held by Osiris for the Winner. Prize is to be determined.

Starter Pokémon Name : Pyrleo
( Deriving from the Greek prefix “pyro-“ for “fire”
and the Latin word “leo” for “lion”. )

Pokédex Entry [Osiris] :
Pryleo can be found roaming the halls of the Temple of Osiris, home of the Pharaoh, where they loyally guard her safety. They are said to admire regality and valor, as such, Pryleo are also naturally drawn to befriending Sekmet Legionaries; assisting in raiding campaigns.

Pokédex Entry [Galar] :
Pryleo can be seen stalking Sandshrew in the blistering desert; honing their hunting skills.

Abilities : Blaze, Flash Fire

Description : Lion Cub Pokémon

Competition requirements dictate the starter Pokémon must be themed to the Osiris region; as such Pryleo wears the Atef Crown of Osiris. More so, Pryleo has a scar on it’s right eye in the reminiscent shape of the Eye of Horus, in homage to our constitution: the Scroll of Horus. ( inspiration for the scar, in part, came from the Lion King’s villain character “Scar” - I’m a Disney dork )

Starter Pokémon Name: Hipliodile
( Derived from the English words hippopotamus, lion, and crocodile. )

Pokédex Entry [Osiris] :
Intelligent as they are, Hipliodile have been known to seek out and punish those who do not obey regional rules; smacking suspected offenders with their dampened flail.

Pokédex Entry [Galar] :
Hipliodile congregate around bodies of water where they can be seen smacking the water’s surface with their flails. It’s unclear why they do this but experts theorize it’s because they dislike the sight of their own reflection.

Description : Mythic Punisher Pokémon

Inspiration for Hipliodile stems from the Ancient Egyptian demoness, Ammit. Known as the “Devour of the Dead”, Ammit would eat the heart of anyone not “pure of heart” in the afterlife. Ammit is depicted as being a mix of a Hippopotamus, Lion, and Crocodile - the three beasts Ancient Egyptians feared the most. Hipliodile, further being connected to our Egyptian-themed region wields a flail, an important symbol of the pharaohship.

Starter Pokémon Name : Meshrat
( Deriving from the English words “mesh” and “rat”. )

Pokédex Entry [Osiris] :
Seen as a pest, Meshrat establish large colonies all through the region; most notably that of the largest ever recorded Meshrat colony, that still to this day plagues the Temple of Aset : Home to the Osiris Guardians.

Pokédex Entry [Galar] :
The moon shaped emblem atop Meshrat’s head, can shine and mesmerize suspected foes; rendering them confused for a period of time, allowing Meshrat to retreat to safety.

Description : Rodent Pest Pokémon

I took a leap with this little guy and tried to push myself to the absolute edge of creativity. Meshrat is themed to our region, not by Egyptian standards, but by the representation of our Guardians. A mesh of them, if you will.

•Inspiration for animal choice : “The Rat” of Malphe II

•Inpriation for the “whisker balls” : In respects to Ark’s flag design.

•Insiration for leaf on Meshrat’s tail : I used a maple leaf, in respects to Tethys “Order of the Authumn Butterfly” ( my favourite of the Orders, besides “Pun Crown” )

•Insiration for the moon emblem : came from a few actually! Firstly it embodies our Pharoah, Skies “Luna State”. It’s also is in respects to Tethys’s daily “Falling Tides Wishes”. And of course, it’s coloured with the Trans colours, in respects to Res’s flag.

Draco accepted this as being within the rules:

Cofagrigus Variation: Self-explanatory, the light of the scarab orb shines upon those in Osiris.

Dragonite Lapras Cross: The people in this region I think were the most hype about the idea of us theming a Pokemon month, and then proceeded to put a lot of effort into making it both fun and successful, therefore they both deserved a Pokemon starter shoutout.

Marill+Staryu+Rowlet+Litwick: Each of the Pokemon incorporated represents a different member of the past or present Osiris community (Hazel, Rigel, Altino, and Chair), ngl they were mostly picked off of who in Osiris had the most distinctive symbols.

Tethys has won the competition by a land slide for their Eyascera and Stomuppy submissions
