OVERVIEW:

The Department of Defense of The League is a government institution tasked with upholding The League's interests abroad and insuring regional security. The League Department of Defense is divided into two subordinate departments, The League's Defense Forces (LDF) and the Intelligence Agency (LIA).

The incumbent Director of the Department of Defense is The New Fandom Republic.

The League's Defense Forces is led by General of the Defense Forces Lyoa and the Intelligence Agency is led by Director Spode Humbled Minions.

This thread will be used to publish updates and reports on the operations conducted by the LDF and public-suitable updates from the LIA.

UPDATE FROM THE CONSULATE AND DEPT. OF DEFENSE

The League's Defense Forces participated in 11 updates with Libcord over the past week, winning 115 defenses and 14 detags. The LDF also conducted some operations separate from Libcord, including a delegate bump of Genua and a delegate support for Sophia. Additionally, several new recruits completed their training.

General Lyoa selected New Makasta for the position of Colonel given his activity and dedication.

UPDATE FROM THE CONSULATE AND DEPT. OF DEFENSE

The League's Defense Forces participated in 12 updates with Libcord over the past week, winning 183 defenses and 23 detags. The LDF also assisted in the support of The Global Union Consortium and liberation of Eurasia.

We also wish to congratulate Washingtonian Republic for his promotion to corporal.

League's Defense Forces Weekly Report - 18 April 2021
The League's Defense Forces during the past week participated in a total of 13 updates within Libcord. The LDF under Libcord participated in 163 defenses and 35 detags. Additionally, the LDF participated in the liberation of North Africa The LDF gained an additional two recruits who began their training this week.

The LDF is also in the process of developing a reserve wing intended to help with liberations known as the Liberation Corps. Several Leaguers have already expressed interest in the reserves and the organization is intended to be established during this upcoming week.

Enlisted member DinoNet was promoted to Corporal after participating in 15 updates. Congratulations Dino!

The League's Defense Forces during the past week participated in a total of 12 updates within Libcord. The LDF under Libcord participated in 57 defenses and 33 detags. Additionally, the LDF participated in the liberation of Prima Victoria, as well as multiple supports in North Africa (following a previous liberation) and Philippines. The LDF gained an additional two recruits who began their training this week. LDF recruits from last week completed their training.

The LDF officially formed its reserve wing, gaining five new recruits for the reserves program. Several reservists participated in updates this week as well.

League's Defense Forces Weekly Report - 2 May 2021
The League's Defense Forces during the past week participated in a total of 13 updates within Libcord. The LDF under Libcord participated in 11 defenses and 168 detags. Additionally, the LDF participated in support operations in Japan, Belgium, and Christmas, as well as a liberation in Japan. Most LDF recruits from last week completed their training this week.

The LDF also led its first multi-organization operation since its reactivation in February. LDF forces alongside our friends at Lily, Thaecia, and the Joint Task Force of the Augustin Alliance successfully bumped the delegate of the Republic of Conservative Nations. After the successful bump of a region that has consistently attempted to undermine The League for years, a large amount of coping ensued. We thank the Republic of Conservative Nations for the comedy last night!

League's Defense Forces Weekly Report - 9 May 2021
The League's Defense Forces during the past week participated in a total of 11 updates within Libcord and 1 update as part of a multi-organization anti-fascist operation led by the LDF. The LDF under Libcord participated in 68 defenses, 83 detags, and 6 supports.

LDF enlisted member DinoNet was promoted to Sergeant this week, our first enlisted member to hold this position. Congratulations Dino!

The LDF also launched Operation Order 55 alongside our friends at Lily, Thaecia, and the Joint Task Force of the Augustin Alliance. The operation targeted a number of fascist regions aligned with Genua, who had previously used our region as a jump point for one of their military operations. The coalition forces hit all six targets, successfully delegate bumping every region. Following this, a large amount of coping ensued on the side of the fash.
