A Shiny Sock Message For Shiny People

New beginnings often necessitate a bit of self review so that we have an accurate outlook on the journey that brought us here. We look back on the celebrations and challenges that have propelled our lives forward in a sort of personal legacy- memory. But sometimes memory really isn’t enough to reflect on past successes and because of that we give people awards.
I’m going to give some people some awards.
I can go on for a long time about how these individuals did x thing and achieved y. It’d be an impressive list and we would all sit around in awe of their individual achievements. But I think that what I’d actually like to highlight is that each of these three chose to put in the time and the work to give back to Osiris in their own unique way. That’s all that’s really needed in any community- stepping up and doing your part with dedication. It’s what I champion, and these individuals championed it as well.
So, without any more mushy stuff:
Wymondham has been in Osiris a long time, and he’s been such a wonderful bit of our community. Recently he stepped down from his long held role of Chief Scribe, a role that he filled spectacularly. He did a great job in training up his successor, which is fundamental in any meritocracy, and his legacy will be that of a continuing list of Chief Scribes that will hand down his knowledge and expertise. For his dedication to the Council of Scribes and Osiran legislative work, I induct Wymondham into the Ancient Order of Ma’at.
Benjabobaria is an outstanding raider. He is strategic, knowledgeable, and unflinching in his resolve to make something of his skill. His leadership in Sekhmet moved the organization forward in terms of activity and skill, and because of that we now have a solid foundation to build upon in the future. Raiding, for a lot of people, is pointing and clicking buttons. But commanders know the dance of strategy, leadership, and burnout like no other position in Nationstates. For his dedication to Sekhmet, I induct Benjabobaria into the Ancient and Martial Order of Sekhmet.
Rachael hasn’t been in Osiris for very long but her impact has been impressive. When she took over Gameside, it was very much in a foundational stage for the department. Now, Gameside is the cornerstone of Osiran government. We reach new heights almost every month with them, and every program that Rachael oversees is consistent. She has capable people throughout her department, which is a sign of great leadership and integration and echoes the sentiments that I aim for in Osiris. For this, I’m inducting her into the Ancient Order of Aset.
And that’s it, folks. Please congratulate these three and thank them for their service. They deserve it.
