Charter of Rights Act I. Fundamental Rights
(1) Every resident will have the right to free thought and expression, limited only by reasonable gameside or off-site moderation.
(2) Every resident will have the right to peaceful free assembly and association with other residents.
(3) Every resident will have the right to petition for the resignation or lawful removal of any official without fear of reprisal.
(4) Every resident will be protected against any WA membership prohibition or endorsement limit lower than two endorsements.
(5) Every citizen will have the right to vote in the Council of Scribes provided they are constitutionally eligible to vote.
II. Legal Rights
(1) Every person charged with a crime before the Council of Priests will have the right to a fair, speedy, and public trial.
(2) Every person charged with a crime before the Council of Priests will have the right to retain legal counsel in their defense.
(3) Every person will be protected against trial before the Council of Priests more than once for the same offense.
(4) Every person will be protected against trial before the Council of Priests based on an ex post facto law.
(5) Every person has the right to refuse to disclose and to prevent any other person from disclosing communications between themselves and their legal representative during a trial before the council of priests, except to the High Priest who shall review them if a request for disclosure of said communications is made by the plaintiff/defendant. This right applies so long as the communications do not contain any conspiracy to commit or admission of a crime that is defined by the Criminal Code of Osiris.
III. Limitations
(1) No right enumerated herein will be construed to limit or interfere with the responsibility and authority of off-site property administration to safeguard the out-of-character security or safety of off-site property or its users, or of the Pharaoh to safeguard the out-of-character security or safety of Osiris and its residents.
(2) No right enumerated herein will be construed to limit or interfere with the final authority of off-site property administration in regard to off-site property permissions.
