:osiris: :osiris: :osiris: :osiris: Issue #3 :legion: :legion: :legion: :legion: Greetings thou reader! Grand news to disclose to you all, citizens, ambassadors and tourists alike!

The month of March has seen its changes throughout the region, politically and non parliamentary. From the creation of public regional holidays to Electoral frenzies, we have seen some of the best out of our culture come together and vibrate the colors which bring the region to life! Thus making Osiris a fun place where possibilities are endless for the leader to indulge and express their talents.

We have recently witnessed such an impressive election for the new Chief Visier which ended Mar 30 2017, 10:43 PM. The nominations were brought forth in good numbers, quite fun to see the willingness to participate in our citizens. The campaigns each candidates produced were of high quality and greatly reviewed by many. When it was time to open the floor for voters on the 27th of March 2017, a beautiful display of encouragement from our fraternity poured into the voting floor. For me, it was the first time witnessing a volume of votes as was the case here. The election was concluded as follows:

Sygian - 20 votes
Wrektopia - 16 Votes

Quite the close battle it was for Chief Visier and either of the two would have made a great choice to hold this position. After the elections were over, Wrektopia stepped out to the stage for his press conference ro release his statement which can be viewed in his Q&A thread for his campaign.

" I'd like to congratulate Syg on his victory and wish him success in the position. I don't expect to be included in the cabinet but I ask that he consider a number of my prospective picks when he makes his appointments. I'd like to thank everyone who participated in this election for their contribution and, especially, all of the people who supported me throughout the process. You guys are fantastic. Hail Osiris!" Wrektopia

We are now close to Pharaoh's Day and the preperations have begun. Banners are being erected, artists around the region are coming together to collaborate, and visiers are organizing the events to make the first celebration a grand opening. The event has become a festival that will probably spand over anfew days leading up to the day and will prove to be a fun time for all citizens of this great region, we look forward to be celebrating and remember to drink responsibily.

Sports News

Ladies and gentlemen, rude and crude, a new sport is coming to Osiris! If you think there wasnt enough blood from boxing, not enough excitiment in racing or near death experiences from base jumping, then Brawlhalla is the right kind of program for you! As this is the first ever event, any and all will be able to be compete in a 3 lives strikeout styled tournament for best fighter. You will have 3 months to practice for the event and it will be hosted by your friends in Osiris. We here at OBC will do our best to cover the tournament and weeks leading up to the competition once the contenders lists are released. If you feel like you are up to the challenge to compete, you may wish to speak to the commissioner Ophiuchus the Snake Charmer or visit the thread here ( https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIp ... rm?c=0&w=1 ) directly to sign up!
The league has been advertised all over Nation States, to see who is the best brawler and gain the title of the best in all of Nationstates. A scroll of power will be held for 4 months, upon which it is said to loose its power to make way for the tournament again, retaining the names of former winners.

The Osirian Premier League is finally back with its second season now underway! Since the deportation of the former commissioner Vaclav Vinograd for Nazisme, the league was left unattended, leaving the season end with a 15 game length. Now 11 weeks of regular season scheduling has been confirmed with the addition of three new teams to the roster whom are identified as the Queenstown Pelicunts, Delenorian Danes and the Glendorian Archers.

For the home team fans, this season has certainly had a great kickoff to the new leagues direction. April 2nd, we saw the Alexandria Gryphons VS Sekhmet Lions. The Gryphons having their first game of the new season in their newly renovated stadium showed the league what they were all about. The first half giving way to 2 goals for Alexandria and the second half showed determination in the team to cripple their opponents moral scoring an other goal to end the game whith a Score of 3-0.

The second game of the day was the Cois City Anarchy hosting the Syglandia Serpents and boy what an upset that was. After the first half ended scoreless but not missing on action. Both teams stepped on to the pitch to battle it out. the Serpents came at them hard and agressive, causing an Anarchy defender to leave the field with a non serious injury. Cois City made the best of their opponents mistakes scoring the first of the game on a Penalty which opened the flood gates for 2 more goals on the break away by their team captain making the score 3-0.

On April 3rd, the Abusir Barons hosted the new Geldonian Archers which was an absolute spectacle to watch. The entire match-up was a back and forth battle making a total of 20 shots for both teams but only 12 on goal for the barons and 15 for the Archers. In the end, a defender on the Barons made a slick tackle, stripping an attacker of the ball and bolting towards the goalkeeper to put the ball past him top left, ending with a Score of 1-0.

The Delanoirian Danes VS Val-hala City Snipers also turned out to be a grand match up on that day for both teams being brand new to the league. The game had started late as officials were chased off the field by the Great Dane named Anubis which the nation has been searching for and have yet to catch the run away gift to the Pharoah. Once the game started the fans were going wild! The Snipers opened the score in the first minute of play, showboating afterwards with a team celebration imitating the scorer using a sled and his teammates being the dogs. The Danes answered right back with a beautiful display of confusing passes. The team also celebrated to spite the snipers by doing the macaraina. The game was tied until a Sniper tripped up a player who could have scored right there, giving the Danes the chance they needed to put the game away with a penalty kick earning them the 2-1 win at home over the Val-hala City Snipers.

On friday, the 7th of April we saw the Al-mukajibar Aviators take on the Jurfica Compass Rosses and come out with a 2-0 victory. Mid way through the first half the aviators scored with a beautiful header from the cross and the same in the last moments of the game. It was a shame that the Compass Roses couldn't have their first win at home to open the season but a great match up non the less.

We also saw one of the biggest game this week had to offer between the two newest teams, Wymondham United vs Queenstown Pelicunts. An absolute explosion of offense and impeccable goalkeeping by both teams making way for Wymondham United 28 total shots and 19 shots on net and for Queenstown Pelicunts, 27 total shots and 20 shots on net. The game was brought to over time and still the score remained 2-2! A possible rivalry forming here and we will most likely see more matches of the kind.

Thats all for this article folks, Hail osiris and hail the Pharaoh!
