Pursuant to Article III, Section 4(2) of the Scroll of Ma'at, we nominate the honorable Wrektopia (Wrektopia) to the Council of Guardians. Wrektopia has served Osiris faithfully and with care. He will be a credit to the Council of Guardians as they work to ensure our continuing security and well being.

Thank you! I accept the nomination and thank Griffin for considering me. I hope Osiris is as confident in my ability to perform as Guardian.
I am aware that this will require some more of me than I currently oversee. I have been attending to duties as Vizier of Community Affairs, which requires mostly for me to keep in touch with the Chief Vizier (Adytus), work on the polls, and get people onto the forum and Discord and into participating in Osiris. So far and since starting this job I have been responsible for multiple polls and getting several people on the forums to take part in the map and government activities, and I intend to continue with this work as a vizier even if I am successfully confirmed for this job as well.
I have read up on the duties of Guardian and confirm that I can take care of them accordingly. It will require me to get more endorsements, which I definitely will not have any trouble with (I would probably have something like 70 or 80 if I hadn't kept bothering people to withdraw their endorsements from me due to being over the limit) and to serve on the region's security council. I will definitely see to it that I do these things to the best of my ability should I be confirmed and will do all that is required of me to maintain the stability, activity and progress of this region. I have also expressed an interest in FA and while this is not necessarily a required duty of Vizier of Community Affairs or of a Guardian I am open to expanding into this as well, if it would be useful to the group.
As for a short bio, I started playing Nationstates a couple months ago during the Halloween zombie apocalypse, through which I found myself here attempting to create a merciless zombie empire that would consume the region. I was immediately subdued. I was later contacted by Adytus following some interactions on the RMB and introduced to the actual workings of the game, which were quite different from the Halloween event and not entirely what I expected but interesting regardless. After some weeks of participation I was offered a position in the cabinet and accepted, and the rest is recent history. And when it comes to conflicts of interest I have none: I am currently only a member of Osiris, although I am aware that citizenship in other regions is an option to me and if it benefits us in any way I am open to picking up participation elsewhere as well.
That should about cover it. Again, thanks Griffin for considering me and I hope the region will see me fit to fill the post.
Hail Osiris!

I completely support Wrektopia for Guardian, but shouldn't we be allowing more time to discuss this? An addition to the list of proscribed regions and organizations was just vetoed on the grounds that it wasn't given sufficient time for discussion, after similar complaints were raised about other proposals almost being moved to vote too quickly.
Confirmation of a Guardian is arguably one of the most important decisions we make. It ranks right up there with constitutional amendments. Guardians serve with no defined length of term until resignation or removal from office, are granted higher endorsement counts, and are entrusted with regional security. A reasonable period for deliberation is sensible.

It would seem somewhat hypocritical to push this to vote in a little over 24 hours (I'm aware it's been more time now, but still) after how much I complained about the last couple of times similarly short periods were used for discussion. I'd like to request that the Chief Scribe (who has a little leeway on this) wait until at least tomorrow morning (that being the 7th) to actually create the voting thread for this. If anyone has any objections, we should hash those out. In the mean time...
That said: Fully support Wrek as a nominee here. Qualified and involved is exactly the kind of thing I like to see in one of the most important security jobs the region has. A great choice I think.

This. Looking forward to confirming him!
