Osiris Fraternal Order

A Statement from the Government of the Osiris Fraternal Order Approximately 1 hour ago, I learned of an injustice done to a player by the name of Amerion.

Amerion has been heavily involved in both the communities of Osiris and Lazarus, despite regional differences. Amerion ran for and was democratically elected to serve a term in office for Osiris, and is seeking to run for a position in Lazarus. Amerion then suddenly, very professionally, declared his intent to resign from his position in Osiris. He made clear via private channels why. This is where the injustice comes in.

Individuals in high places in Lazarus demanded that he choose between the two communities he enjoyed; them, and us; due to their grudge against us for events in our region that happened exactly 2 months ago.

I appreciate every individual and every region that favors Osiris. I understand that there are individuals and regions that do not care about Osiris, and that there are individuals and regions that dislike us. What I don't appreciate and can't understand is this sort of unprofessionalism.

Since Osiris is now aware that we are dealing with unprofessional behavior in Lazarus, allow us to clarify that this statement was not in any way directed or influenced by Amerion, nor did Amerion express a desire for a statement such as this to be made. This is entirely us, wanting to be transparent about an injustice that we really don't feel too good about. So, please, to those Lazarenes involved, don't react to this by twisting Amerion's arm more.

To end, I implore Lazarus to correct this by allowing Amerion to keep his rightfully elected position in Osiris.

If Lazarus does not correct this, then it shows it will strong-arm its members out of other regions.

We await an official response, in whatever capacity that takes.

UPDATE:

We were initially told by Amerion he "cannot serve" the position he is seeking in Lazarus "while maintaining a position in the government" of the OFO. With Osiris-Lazarus relations honestly awful at the moment, our interpretation was naturally inclined towards the negative. I would like to thank The Church of Satan and Amerion himself for clearing up this misunderstanding.

I am happily reassured that Lazarus treats its members with respect, and I am glad that this was of Amerion's own will. On a personal note, I myself have been strong-armed before, specifically by Halcones and Kknight in TBR during the Frak-involved recruitment scandal, so that is a large part of why I came down so sudden on this when I heard about it. It isn't fun being manipulated.

So, that's all folks. To anyone that was lurking around hoping for this to burst into some kind of drama, you're probably disappointed and a little bit surprised.
