Article II: Council of Scribes; Section 1: Composition and Procedure of the Council in the Scroll of Ma'at current states:
I propose the clause be amended and an additional clause added:excerpt wrote:(6) If the office of Chief Scribe is vacant, or for the duration of discussion and voting on a motion to remove the Chief Scribe from office, the business of the Council will be administered by the Pharaoh or by a Priest.
The amendment would ensure a separation of powers exists between the legislative and executive branches of government. This constitutional amendment follows a similar proposal for the Rules of the Council.excerpt wrote:(6) If the office of Chief Scribe is vacant, or for the duration of discussion and voting on a motion to remove the Chief Scribe from office, the business of the Council will be administered by a designated deputy until such time that a Chief Scribe can be elected.
(7) If the designated deputy is unable to assume the responsibilities of the Chief Scribe, the business of the Council of Scribes will be administered by the Pharaoh or by a Priest designated by the Council of Priests until such time that a Chief of Scribe can be elected.
