LKE Statement on Osiris

The Land of Kings and Emperors
Following the formation of the Transitional Government in the region of Osiris, the LKE has consistently endeavoured to promote the stability, security and freedom of Osiris. Initially, in order to facilitate a return to constitutional order, we provided defensive military assistance to the lawful government, in accordance with our obligations under the Treaty of Maxonberg. However, representatives of the lawful government soon proved that they did not grasp the military futility of the situation and that they were unwilling to negotiate realistically to secure a constitutional settlement with the Transitional Government. As such, in a joint action with Europeia, the LKE declared a military ceasefire and urged all parties to negotiate. Since then, we have kept the situation in Osiris under continual review.
Rather than responding to our call for reasonable negotiations, The Almighty Jesus Whale vanished in the period following our statement. As such, there are now no parties who can meaningfully represent the lawful government which existed prior to the formation of the Transitional Government. Given that the lawful government no longer exists, the individuals who constituted it have effectively relinquished the mantle of the Osiris Fraternal Order.
The Treaty of Maxonberg, the alliance between Osiris and the LKE, specifies that our relationship is with the Osiris Fraternal Order. The Transitional Government has become the only body in existence which has any foundation for claiming to represent the Osiris Fraternal Order. Therefore, in accordance with our treaty obligations, the LKE henceforth recognises the administration led by Pharaoh Cormac Stark as the legitimate government of Osiris.
