In the WFE, it tells WA nations to endorse these three nations: Zaolat, The Almighty Jesus Whale, and Revert. Zaolat and TAJW are active citizens of Osiris- but Revert hasn't been active on the forum since November of 2015 and only has less than 10 (7, I think) posts. If Revert is so inactive within the government, why is he in such a high position?

Thanks for that question Transdavisia,
The Atef isn't exactly a Government position, given that their roles only come in play during a security crisis, and the role matters more about integrity and trust given towards that player than any specific amount of activity on the forum. If there were nations who were trustworthy long-time Osirans with a parked WA who would be willing to join the Atef and become a citizen just for Atef purposes then I would nominate them as well. Revert, perhaps better known as Security Council Commended Game Moderator Luna Amore, is certainly an individual with a very reputable character and a well-respected nature. Serving on the Atef for nearly two years now, I don't think his dedication to the role can be questioned, and I think it would be foolish to remove such a long-time Security Council member given the immense benefit of having them in the seat for both the community and the region.
Also I should note Revert was on the forum just four days ago on January 31st.

Basically what Tim said, with one addition:
If we removed Revert, we would be down to only two Guardians -- three after Josh's service as Vizier ends and he returns to being a Guardian. If anything, our number of Guardians is far too low to be healthy. We ought to have at least four to six Guardians at all times. We lack Guardians because many of our citizens are active gameplayers who don't want to commit their WA nations long-term, and because many residents with WA nations committed to the region aren't interested in the forum community and aren't citizens.
Removing Revert for being inactive on this forum would only compound the problem, when he's doing everything a Guardian should be doing -- actively endorsement tarting and regularly logging into his nation. That's what we need from him to prevent a crisis or to end a coup in the future, not active forum participation. If anything, we should be looking at changing our laws so we can expand the number of Guardians by allowing residents without citizenship to be appointed.

I didn't even know Revert is Luna Amore. Even better for the Atef.

lazy damn pharoah I though they had their WA somewhere else. Oh well.
I also don't get why we appoint Guardians. Are they basically the deputy deputies? If the Vizier and Pharoah get kicked out by an invasion, the Guardians are here?

It's our last line of defense in event of a coup; the Atef consists of high influence and endorsement nations controlled by trustworthy players. It hurts a lot to kick or banject them and it's
much easier to push them into the delegacy if needed.

A coup will generally come from within. That is, either Pharaoh or Vizier. One of my philosophies when I was Pharaoh (I think I appointed Revert, IIRC) was to appoint a few nations who would have the integrity to stand against a rogue delegate, and yet would also be less likely to work together in the event that one of them decided to make a power play. A team of rivals, if you will. I served on the Atef for a while, prior to my election as delegate. Revert is literally the longest resident of Osiris. He has, and will continue, to have my trust in his role.
