One Decade Old!
The Imperial Fortress, Maxonberg celebrating in jubilation 29th October marked the tenth-year anniversary of the founding of The Land of Kings and Emperors. We celebrated this momentous occasion in a foundation event which concluded on 10th November. Throughout the last decade, the LKE's audacious style of gameplay has defied expectations and shaped the character of the Imperialist sphere.
It is with much appreciation that we thank all friends who attended and participated in the festivities to celebrate this bond. Honoured guests included Supreme Chancellors HEM and Lethen, and President Writinglegend of Europeia, as well as the King and Queen of Albion. Notable speeches were delivered by several people - 'The Golden Eagle' by the Lord Protector, Wilhem Somerest, 'A NationStates Adolescence' by Prince HEM Tiberius and 'In Service to an Empire' by Crown Prince Cornelius Talleyrand being some of the many excellent pieces. His Supreme Majesty's detailed essays on the first three years were widely considered to be the highlight of the event. Essays and speeches are on permanent display at the Kelkia Hall of the University of The Land of Kings and Emperors, and Hedingham Palace.
New Leadership
Prime Minister Nick Powell outside the Oak Room of Number 27 Following the conclusion of the late September general elections, Number 27 Layton Street, the residence of the LKE Prime Minister, had seen two brief administrations occupy it. On October 12th, His Supreme Majesty appointed the Baron of Crescent, Nick Powell to the office of Prime Minister. Pursuant to the appointment, the Emperor appointed then Speaker of the Estates Common, Ivo Montresor-Stark as Deputy Prime Minister. Concluding on November 5th, His Majesty dissolved the Estates General and called for general elections.
Prime Minister Powell won re-election, with the Viscount of Quintington, Linkin Talleyrand on his ticket as Deputy Prime Minister. Shortly after being appointed, Prime Minister Powell issued his third State of the Realm address from Number 27. In the speech the Prime Minister delivered his agenda on revitalizing the imperial culture of the LKE, in cooperation with the Exterior Ministry for the organizing of interregional cultural events - most prominently with the members of the Congress of Sovereigns.

The Estates Reopen
LKE electors took to the polls in a great show of support for the Lion Party - the second largest political faction in the region. The Lions took three seats in the Estates Common, with the Independents Datford-Zyvetskistaahn and Linkin Talleyrand receiving one, respectively. While in session, Senator Datford-Zyvetskistaahn was confirmed as Speaker of the Estates Common for a second consecutive term.

Military Activity
Imperial Army rally after a successful operation Under the command of the Chief of the Imperial General Staff, General Theoden Sebastian, the Imperial Army recently deployed in Philippines. The region was secured in a major update operation, led by the Europeian Republican Navy. This was carried out in honour of the triumph bestowed on Grand Admiral Kraketopia in Europeia. The other militaries taking part included the Sekhmet Legion of Osiris and the Royal Albion Legion.
We were also pleased to assist in the delegacy transfer in our ally Osiris. Following the change of delegacy, we remained in place for a period of time to ensure the security of the delegacy. At the point of peak deployment, a total of 16 LKE units participated. During our operation in Osiris, the Imperial Army also came to the defence of Kantrias alongside Albion and Europeia. This coalition successfully defeated the forces of The Kingdom of Great Britain and Asgard.
General Sebastian has announced there are to be changes coming to the organization and staffing of the force. In his administrative report, the General included the reintroduction of a merit-point system of ranking, explaining it "will hopefully streamline the process of promotions and serve as an objective standard of performance."
New Ministry Formation
Late last month, Prime Minister Nick Powell announced the formation of the Ministry of Communications, a new government body in charge of the media, mass-telegrams, and the drafting of the Foreign Dispatch, the regional foreign update. Deputy Prime Minister Linkin Talleyrand presented the proposal to the Imperial Council in a meeting at the Oak Room, where it was then decided to implement the ministry. Along with the formation, the Prime Minister appointed the Viscount of Quintington as the new Secretary of State for Communications.
The Communications Ministry now has the responsibility of producing issues of The LKE Today, the historic state publication of the region. The proposal included a new ranking structure providing new opportunities in the civil service, specifically to electors interested in writing and graphic design.
Other News Of The Realm... - Following Letters Patent CLIII, creating the Crown Prince, Viceroy of The Land of Dragonia, Prince HEM Tiberius' archdukedom was transferred to the LKE colony of Munster, to avoid any discrepancy of imperial authority. Though he is the Archduke of Munster, HEM Tiberius is also referred to as the Prince of Munster, asserting his role in the monarchy.
- The Congress of Sovereigns Conference concluded. During the conference issues of imperialist policy were discussed, such as the new institution of Regional Officers and its impact on invading.
- This term's Honours List included, for their significant contribution to the 10th Foundation Anniversary Event as well as leadership in the Imperial Government, Ivo Montresor-Stark was created a companion of the Order of Achievement, Morwenna Montresor was created a companion of the Order of Superbus and Linkin Talleyrand was created a Knight Commander of the Most Perfect Order of Ortho.
- New additions to the Imperial Forums has been implemented by joint effort of the Imperial Government and the Lord Administrator, Royal Penguin. These include a chat box feature and new drop-down lists of positions in the realm. His Majesty cited these changes will provide easier accessibility for mobile devices and make the forums more approachable for new members.
