Osiris Fraternal Order

Hello, Osiris. This is Festavo, also known as Trick Shot. I have been the Scribe of War for 6 months. I have led some good operations, but overall I am unsatisfied with my progress. I am the first to admit that. Our Sekhmet Legion is a small force. We have only one or two Legionnaires who I could depend on to make updates. Actually, I couldn't depend on any. One or two could make an update, but they weren't dependable. Most Legionnaires view The Sekhmet Legion and Osiris as a second or third or maybe even fourth priority. That isn't just a problem with our military, but with our region as a whole. We have people who won't put up. Koth asked us to make one post a day in an effort to maintain activity. One. I admit even I didn't make one post a day.

There are people who genuinely care for Osiris. I am one of them. I want the best for Osiris. The truth is I am not a smooth talker and I don't have a miracle cure. I am not fluent in GCR politics and I have no experience in GCRs besides my time as SoW here. I am honest and I am a straight talker. I won't bullshit you. I am guilty of neglecting Osiris in the past. I admit that. I had other regions I worried about: The Black Hawks and The Brotherhood of Malice. Right here right now I am putting Osiris first. Osiris is number one for me.

Koth asked us to band together and make Osiris better as a whole. Koth got busy and we didn't band together. Osiris didn't get better. Is that his fault? No. It's ours. We need to be able to sustain an active community without the Pharaoh holding everybody's hand. I won't hold your hand every step of the way. I will do what I can but I have a real life. I won't let NS consume me. What I can do is devote the time I spend on NS related things to Osiris related things. What I can do is try my best. I have a fresh perspective you could say. You could also say I am inexperienced. Both are true.

One final thing I will say is that I want each and every one of your opinions. I want to input from all of you. Do not hesitate to tell me what you think. Tell me what you think will work. Tell me what you know won't work. Tell me if you think I am dead wrong. Just tell me. I am new to running a region and I want all your thoughts and knowledge so that, if elected, I can approach the situation properly. I would be YOUR Pharaoh. I am talking to everybody in Osiris. Not just the members of the Deshret who will be the voters, but to everybody. Everybody in Osiris will have to make a decision. Will you stand with me and try to make Osiris better or will you sit back and let Osiris continue its inactivity and, if this path continues, collapse.

Can you talk more about what plans you have for Osiris? What actions can the region expect from your leadership?

What plans do you have for both the different Temples and their individual Scribes?

What you can expect is a government where the Osiran populace is more involved in the government. I will be placing a priority on making sure that voices are heard and that people who want to be involved in government can get involved.

You can expect that I will be requiring a certain level of work from my Scribes. Scribes need to be held responsible for making sure there is activity and progress in their respective temples. Inactive scribes will be in danger of being purged from the Hedjet and being replaced. I have been thinking about different ways to improve the Hedjet and an idea I have been kicking around is eliminating the Scribe of Media and rolling the responsibilities into Culture, but that may be too much work for the Scribe of Culture. I will of course accept input on that idea as with all my ideas.

You can expect that I will pushing for more regional events and activities, both with other regions and without. Some RPs would be nice and if somebody would like to do some gaming events that would be certainly welcome. We need activity. We need to keep people logging on the forum and being active members of the community.

You can expect I will be encouraging member nations of Osiris to get involved in the community by contacting them through regional telegrams and the RMB.

You can expect the Pharaoh being more involved in the military aspect of Osiris. I will be looking for a good prospective Scribe of War with initiative. I have noticed as SoW that a major issue with the Sekhmet Legion is membership. This will hopefully be solved through consistent activity, regional telegrams and RMB messages. My 3 pronged attack will hopefully bring in new members from Osiris the region as well as other regions.

You can expect me to be looking for a good Scribe of Foreign Affairs. I am not as well versed in our historical allies and such so this is important. Foreign Affairs is very important.

I like some of the ideas Ainocra has, such as mock trials and an active media department. I would like to see the Oracle become not only a major GP newspaper, but the major GP newspaper. I would like the Osiran Oracle to have consistent interviews major Osirans and major gameplayers, cover the latest events, etc. It would also be nice to have guest articles featured in the Oracle.

If you feel I need to address anything else, please post another question and I will answer it as soon as I can. Sorry for the late response to this one.

Good to see the Osiran flag, because I do think we need a patriotic leader.

But, I don't think you really get it regarding how to motivate people.

I think you are going to struggle motivate people with a mainly negative outlook. You can't just demand people are active and they treat Osiris as their number 1 priority. The regional leadership have to incentivise them why they should contribute more. We should embrace people that currently might only have Osiris as a low priority, but where the potential exists for them to do more here.

Talk more about opportunities for success, not just the impending doom if things don't improve.

Just trying to provide the kind of advice a younger NES may have benefited from.

That all said, I like your enthusiasm and drive. And honesty.
