Well. I've decided to run for Keeper.

After some time, serving as Curator under 3 different Keepers; observing the responsibilities of the office and how the different Keepers approach each task and dilemma, I would say I have the needed expertise and enthusiasm to serve as Keeper of the Deshret.

Ainocra has served two terms as Keeper of the Deshret during which the Deshret saw a period of a great surge in legislative activity and growth and I would like to thank him for his service and dedication to the office which he held. I fully intend to replicate the activity and growth seen during his Keepership by using his, and some of my own methods, of promoting and encouraging membership and participation in the Region and the Deshret.

Now I understand there may be concerns about my activity, and I understand. My tenure as Scribe during the previous term was stagnant. No articles were produced for the Oracle. All I can say to account for my incivility as Scribe, is that school became quite heavy, especially because of the Midterm exams and the changes in school administration. But I chose to run at this point as all the hullabaloo is finally over and I am soon approach the easy-going period in school, then the long holidays. So rest assured, should you elect me Keeper, I will be as active and as attentive as required of me.

1. My top priority, as would be any Keeper's, is to oversee the smooth operation of the Deshret. But aside from that, I will make it my priority to maintain and preserve the activity and growth seen during your tenure as Keeper by stealing some of your tricks

and using some of my own in advertising the Regional Government, specifically the Deshret.

2. Well, like I said above I'll steal some of your effective tricks, such as directly approaching individuals on both forums and the NS site, would be a start. PMing/TGing them with messages or posting on the RMB, encouraging individuals to become more involved in their region by legislating. I'll also direct some of that much needed attention to the Executive, specifically the Priesthoods.

3. As of now, I would say there isn't a great challenge facing the Deshret as of yet. There is a healthy flow of people wishing to join the Deshret and we have been blessed with good debates the past term. If I had to say a challenge, however, probably not being faced today, is prolonged activity and growth. Through the Deshret's history it hasn't had a great amount of periods of activity so that would be something challenging to establish.

4. This was touched upon some time ago but greater Executive accountability to the Deshret could stir some regular activity. Such as polls held by the Deshret assessing the performance of the Pharaoh/Scribes on a certain basis (maybe also some input from the nations of Osiris) or a Q&A session for the Pharaoh and Scribes. I believe the latter was proposed some time ago, but never implemented; it would be good to see that happen. I also have several proposals I would like to put forward to the Deshret that may help create more activity and make Osiris a more democratic Region.

But of course, I alone cannot create an active and functioning Deshret. I can encourage, promote, advertise and push for activity but the activity of this body rests with all the individual members within it; not just on the Keepers shoulders alone. The Keeper alone cannot keep the wheel spinning, only the collective Deshret can.

5. I'm really not sure about that one .. but it has got me thinking. Could I get back to you on this?

6. If it doesn't obstruct me in any of my responsibilities and needs, then im game

With no offense to War Wombat, I will be supporting Andrew for Keeper. He is ready to be Keeper and I like the the ideas about executive accountability. I believe Andrew will make a very good keeper.

I appreciate that you acknowledged your shortcomings as scribe during your last term due to activity. While I understand that RL gets in while, it would have been nice for some level of transparency. I am not saying a need to disclose anything, but there was no apology during your time as scribe or public acknowledgement that your activity was lacking. Furthermore, I sent you a private message and a message in the newsletter thread saying that I wanted to help and there was no response. I am not trying to say I am upset about any of that

What concerns me though is how much RL conflicts affected your communication. As a Keeper, we have seen that communication is extremely important. As well as alertness both to the needs of the community in-game and on the forum. How can we be sure that you will be able to maintain consistent and active communications with the community?

I apologize if this sounds harsh.

I have had minimal interactions with you in a leadership position.
