Osiris Fraternal Order

After a discussion between myself in my capacity as Acting Monarch of Balder, and the Pharaoh, we concluded that I don't have the confidence of his Administration, or as he also noted, interestingly - the founders of the Osiris Fraternal Order. And that it would be pointless for me to continue in the role awaiting a change in circumstances. I am thus tendering my resignation as Joint Director of Intelligence for Balder and Osiris.

I am well aware that my personal dispute with Cormac which has been ongoing since September has had a heavy cost in terms of my reputation here, and he has made it clear he will go to any length to remove me from Osiris including blackmail and harrassment of my personage. In that context it is clear he is the source of demands for my resignation, and that he, as a founder of the OFO continues to wield improper influence with a view to damaging my reputation and position here. Balder hopes that these personal quarrels will not be extended to the wider treaty beyond my former role in Intelligence.

We agreed the best course of action moving forwards would be to simply remove the JDI clause from the Treaty of Old Gods, at some future date, as neither party has any particular desire to utilise it anymore, and instead will simply pursue co-operation through their independent intelligence institutions.

Thank you for your service, NES, and I appreciate that we were able to resolve the issue in a way that was likely more amiable than most.

This certainly did not stem, on my end, from Cormac's beliefs, and rather from my own personal beliefs regarding the need, or more specifically the lack there of, for the position, as well as other various things we discussed. I'd certainly hope there's no insinuation that my actions were via Cormac's designs. A circumstantial similarity of viewpoints on the matter, perhaps, but no more. I think if I might have proven one thing over this term so far it's that I'm certainly nobody's pawn in this game, nor do I appreciate attempts to make me one. Furthermore, I very much doubt that the quarrels that you and Cormac will not extend wider to the treaty, though my personal opinion of involved individuals could certainly drop depending on the conduct of aforementioned quarrels. Regardless of words said, I imagine you both are doing what you view is best for Osiris, even if you're certainly not seeing eye to eye on that matter. It'd be great if y'all would keep it to private channels, however, as continued public toxicity is certainly unwanted.

Given that, I'd like to request folks not to start up arguments in this thread. If you've got questions or complaints about various matters involving this, both NES and I have Query and Private Message boxes in which you can reach us. Any various verbal violence incited within this thread will lead to a very quick lock, and a more than grumpy glance from me in the morning.
