As charming as the argument is I don't find it compelling.
GENERAL ASSEMBLY PROPOSAL

Repeal "Suppress International Piracy"
A resolution to repeal previously passed legislation.
Category: Repeal
Resolution: GA#20
Proposed by: Cyanbeard
Description: WA General Assembly Resolution #20: Suppress International Piracy (Category: International Security; Strength: Significant) shall be struck out and rendered null and void.
Argument: Avast!
We the hearty mateys of the World Assembly,
The jolly swashbucklers aboard the vessel of international law,
Perturbed by the grief imposed upon the brethren of the open seas,
Bothered about the harsh penalties levied upon those weary souls,
Feeling a touch of sea-sickness at the sight of folk forced to scuttle their scurvy ships,
Also worried about the extreme demands laid upon nations' navies, coast guards and judicial agencies by laws that are too strict,
Appalled at the vast number of honest folk forced to work for corrupt governments as "privateers" in order to continue their trade,
Verily believing that it is now time to signal a shift,
Plotting a passage into yonder patrimonial seas of bounty,
Hereby repeal GAR #20 "Suppress International Piracy"
However since this is a repeal, and I do have an eyepatch I say we should vote in favor of it.
