This time, former Prime Minister Huxwells Fortier-Shaw decided not to run again, leaving the race wide open for new contestants. Stepping up to the ballot box were Akillian Talleyrand, Richard Fominov, Cameron M. Ó'Neil and Alexander Fominov. The final polls came out with the following, giving the new Prime Minister, Akillian Talleyrand, a decisive win against his opponents. Richard Fominov- 3 (12%) Cameron M. Ó'Neill- 2 (8%) Akillian Talleyrand - 17 (68%) Alexander Fominov - 3 (12%) Akillian Talleyrand was elected Prime Minister after recieving the confidence and support of the people, something he has achieved since he began his political career in KGB where has maintained his activity and performed excellently in his duties. The win has allowed the BRP to maintain a majority in Parliament and the Executive Government. In the General Elections for Parliament the following became MPs for their respective constituencies, Richard Fominov of England, William Bowes-Lyon of France, Alexander Fominov of Scotland, Fitzgerald Ravensdale of Ireland, Francis Fortier of Wales. The Ireland seat was currently held by Janos Fortier, however, after he was elected Speaker he became inactive and was therefore impeached by the Parliament, showing it's changes in moving forward for a more active legislature for Great Britain.[c][big]Royal Marriages![/big] Official Portrait of the Royal Couple. Earlier this month, Great Britain was hit with great news at the announcement of the engagement of Prince Richard Fominov to Lady Hanna Grey. Soon after the initial buzz of the engagement came the wedding, officiated by His Majesty the King at Westminister Abbey. The wedding was watched by all across the region and many gave their congratulations and best wishes to the couple at the end of the ceremony, with of course, the kiss on the balcony taking place outside the Palace. The Kingdom of Great Britain has also seen several adoptions and several announcements of marriages! There has certainly been a marriage and a baby boom here in Great Britain and it has boosted the activity of the region greatly. As well as the announcement of more adoptions and weddings comes the end of a controversial topic; the establishment of The Roman Catholic Church in Great Britain. The topic had caused a certain amount of drama due to comments made by the applicant for it's creation; Richard Wettin. However, justice and equality was served and His Majesty approved the creation of the Roman Catholic Church which now posts regular, detailed services which have revived the once diminishing religious district of the region.[c][big]Dynamo Britain![/big] The Pound Sterling returns to Great Britain. The past few months have seen some good and some not so good attempts at a working currency for the Kingdom of Great Britain. However, after long hours and lots of hard work, the Admin Team of Great Britain have finally got an economy system that is working for Great Britain; Dynamo! The system is already very popular with many people now going to the newly created Bank of England to sort out their taxes and incomes. The economy is currently used for applications for venues such as cultural settings, businesses and estates. There seems to be a bright future for the currency in Great Britain especially with the lottery capabilities and the clear signs of interest from the people. The current executive over the Bank of England is Cameron Ó'Neil.[c][big]Changing Delegates![/big] The World Assembly convening. Just a few days ago, HIBM King-Emperor Konstantin II announced that William Bettingham would be replaced as the British World Assembly Delegate by Edward Fominov. This comes after a long absence from Prince William and the failure to vote on World Assembly Resolutions for some time. The new World Assembly Delegate, Edward Fominov, has promised to bring enthusiasm, activity and regional involvement in regards to the World Assembly and hopes to involve the people more when it comes to the creation, debating and voting on WA Resolutions. Prince Edward has experience in the office due to his past experience as WA Delegate of Mazeria for several terms. Edward Fominov hopes to increase the awarness of the World Assembly in the region and to increase the presence of KGB on the world stage. The handover of power is expected to take some time but will hopefully be done by the end of the month, however, Prince Edward has stated that he will be getting to work in involving the region more in regards to the World Assembly sooner rather than later.
