RAMAEUS ELECTED DELEGATE
On 7 July, The Tyrant, Ramaeus, legally assumed the delegacy of The East Pacific from his predecessor, Bachtendekuppen, and, three days later, he attained the in-game delegacy from the Puffin Delegate, as well. He had served as Delegate-Elect from 29 June, the day the polls closed, until the end of the Bach’s term, just over a week later, during which time he prepared for the much anticipated transition between the two. He won a hard fought election against then Provost Old Federalia by a margin of only six percent, or three votes, with a final tally of 21 to 18 with 5 abstentions. His campaign was heavily supported by the senior staff of the Eastern Pacific Sovereign Army and many other prominent game players in the regions. However, Old Federalia proved himself of being able to give game play a run for its money by cobbling together a coalition of players of all stripes* both young and old.
* One notable stripe missing from his coalition was A Slanted Black Stripe.
THE PROVOST IS DEAD, LONG LIVE THE PROVOST
On 2 July, in the wake of a narrow defeat in the delegate election, Old Federalia resigned both as Provost and from the Magisterium, as a whole. Upon his resignation, he conveyed what a privilege it was to serve the Magisterium, and he recommended his Deputy Provost, God-Emperor for the vacant post.
GE was, in fact, nominated for the post, and his nomination was seconded by one of his electoral opponents, Tim. (The other being Prussia.) The former Provost subsequently came out and endorsed the candidacy, which eventually resulted in the election of God-Emperor as Provost in an extremely low Magister turnout election of two votes for GE, one for Prussia, and zero for Tim with four abstentions, barely meeting the quorum requirements laid out in the Standing Orders Of The Magisterium.

Soon after the conclusion of our most recent election, newly elected delegate Ramaeus came forth with new directorate appointments: God Emperor as Minister of Foreign Affairs and Tim as Minister of Immigration. Tim is also currently being confirmed by the Magisterium as Commissioner of the Eastern Pacific Police Service after the previous Commissioner, God Emperor, was elected to the position of Provost.
NEW ARBITERS CONFIRMED
Towards the end of his term, former Puffin Delegate Bachtendekuppen, in collaboration with then Delegate-Elect Ramaeus and Viceroy Aelitia nominated two new arbiters, Erelim General Xoriet and Bachtendekuppen. After a thorough hearing before the Magisterium, both were confirmed, and the region is looking forward to seeing them in action in the Conclave.
A NEW ERA OF FRIENDSHIP
During late May, the governments of The East Pacific and Osiris met and hammered out a Treaty of Amity. The treaty formally recognized each of the regional governments and any legal successors, established formal in-game and off-site forums, mutual home defense pacts, military cooperation, and an intelligence sharing article, which laid out that each will share intelligence information of interest to the other and will not participate in acts of espionage against the other. There was also a culture sharing article, which states both signatories agree to host and participate in joint cultural events with each other. Then Puffin Delegate Bachtendekuppen was quoted saying he believes that the treaty keeps both regions’ interests at the forefront while allowing the Eastern Pacific Sovereign Army to remain an independent force.
