The user groups for the House system have been disabled due to the problems they have been causing with people's permission sets. Administering the forum should not be some attempt at voodoo magic to make sure everyone can see what they are supposed to be seeing. They have not been deleted, pending an admin team discussion on what to do with them.

The joinable groups which grant access to House subforums have, for the time being, been retained and are still in use. The administrative team discussion will also include discussion of simplifying both the number of subforums and the number of permission sets that have proliferated over the past six months with barely any consultation with anyone.

The flags on the front page have been removed. It was made pretty clear several months ago that there were to be no images on the front page.

If anyone has any comments on implementation of the House system from an administrative standpoint, this is the place to voice them.

I hated the flags with a fucking passion.

As I was saying to Cormac earlier, I don't think it's necessary to have a complex group system for Houses.

All righty, the mess has been cleaned up as follows:

- There are no City or House user groups anymore. Feel free to post icons, badges, etc., for your Cities or Houses in your signatures.

- There are no City or House joinable groups or permission sets anymore. More on that in a minute.

- There are no images in forum descriptions or forum rules anymore. This needed simplified as some Cities and Houses had them, some didn't, etc., and images just slow down the forum loading anyway. Again, images can be put in posts or signatures.

- Each City now has its main forum and a subforum for its noble House. City subforums have been deleted as superfluous, as have subforums of noble Houses, because again some Cities and Houses had these and some did not. All posts in any deleted subforums were moved to their containing forum.

- All City and House subforums are now visible to the public (Guests and Members), and post accessible by any Citizen or anyone with the Gatepass to Culture.

- The Shaperate tab in the header is gone, it was completely unnecessary and was just taking up space.

- I haven't done this yet because it slipped my mind, but the heads of each noble House will in the next few minutes be given moderation over their City and House forums.
