Pharaoh Severisen has nominated Lord Joshua Ravenclaw for Guardian of the Atef. Please discuss the nomination here and the confirmation vote can begin as early as 02:00 (2:00 a.m.) EDT on 10 May 2014, or any time after that once it has received a motion to vote and two seconds and someone is available to open the confirmation vote, given the hour.

No real comments. LR's commendable record for the region speaks for itself.

Cassius is right. Although his term as Pharaoh was not entirely successful, he is, and hopefully will always remain, a talented and committed Osirin

Certainly, he is far superior to those last two nominees.

Thank you to Charles, Cassius, Andrew, Zyvet, and Wombat for their support, and to Professor Snape erm, Pharaoh Severisen for nominating me. I have some remarks for Wombat in reply to his post regarding my time as Pharaoh not being entirely successful:

I'd like to say it was successful as:

1. Osiris was not couped during my reign, nor did it fall under occupation.
2. Osiris enjoyed a reopening of relations with all of the feeder regions, including both TNP and TSP who were concerned about our stability. We also exchanged in-game embassies with TEP after Puffin Lord Bach and I sat down and spoke candidly about Osiris' past, present and our - as a community - goals for the future.
3. Osiris showed to the outside world that the troubles had passed and we were functioning as a community once again.
4. We weren't attacked by Unibot once. So he obviously thinks we're doing something right ;P

So I left office a little early, the change was quick, minimal fuss and I got to take a weeks holiday, which after two years non-stop service, felt so, so good.

Past that, two years service to Osiris, currently the highest influence nation (although will soon be second highest due to Sev's influence rising and mine decaying due to lack of endorsements), substantial experience in Osiris' government and I am probably the most decorated member of the region, with three awards for service. I might actually be overqualified for the role :o :ninja:

Raven is overqualified for any role in Osiris, and is spot on about the successes of his term -- even if things were a little less active than we would have liked, that was as much the broader community's fault as the Pharaoh's, and Osiris had great successes in the areas of diplomacy, security, and stability during his term.

Needless to say, I support Raven's nomination to the Atef. He served with dedication on the Council of Ma'at during the Kemetic Republic of Osiris and I have no doubt he'll serve with the same dedication on the Atef.

Well, I would say it was 99.999999% successful, then.
