This will probably come as a surprise to absolutely no one, but I'm appointing Lord Ravenclaw to replace Koth on the administrative team following the latter's resignation of admin this morning.
I want to make clear that this will not be the case for every Pharaoh, and Raven isn't being named an admin because he's been elected Pharaoh. Raven is being named an admin because he has put in literally years of dedicated service to Osiris, he has proven his trustworthiness beyond the shadow of a doubt, and he is extremely capable in the technical aspects of the forum as well.
Welcome to the admin team, Raven!

Might that be considered in the future? Pharaoh's being Admins, that is. If that people have that much confidence in a person to elect them, it might be something to at least look at and discuss.

Congrats Raven.
Administrative access should never, ever, be given on the basis of being elected. The qualities required of a good admin are certainly not the same qualities that win elections, though the same person can be good at both as in Raven's case. It is no surprise that most of the region's that have rogue admins and lose forums and so on are the nooby ones that award admin on that basis.
Besides, the ROOT admin owns the forum, the regional laws don't affect that and ultimately the ROOT has considerations beyond those of just the regional law to consider. Keeping the community safe, its members free from harassment, from porn spam attacks and so on are all matters beyond the consideration of regional laws.

Basically what Charles said.
That's not to say no Pharaoh after Raven will ever be given admin again, but it doesn't come with the office.

I'm well aware of the duties of the root admin, Charles. And while I also understand that admin ability and leadership ability are not the same thing, they can very easily go hand in hand. I have been in multiple regions where the elected head of government is given admin ability during their term in office to help facilitate the needs that go with holding that lofty position.
If the people are so worried about being attacked or that an individual is a threat to the region and the community at large, I can't imagine they would be elected to high office, can you?

We have an active admin team that is happy to facilitate the needs of the Pharaoh, and the admin team will remain active because I will remove and replace inactive admins as time goes on. No other game-created region -- nor most user-created regions -- attach administrative power to elected office, and Osiris won't be an exception to that rule.
I have no intention of paving and clearly demarcating a path to espionage or, worse yet, forum destruction, for any would-be spy or forum destroyer by attaching administrative power to the office of the Pharaoh.

Welcome, Raven. An excellent appointment. And I fully concur with the points made by Charles and Cormac regarding Administration officials.

Having elected Administration, especially if connected with the Pharaonic office, would also be problematic for the purposes of criminal procedure as the draft now stands.

A short note to say that Ygfbv and r3n have joined the admin team.
r3n will be serving as a technical admin to work with us on the more technical aspects of our forum and ygfbv will also be running the day to day things alongside the others.
