But i would contend that, while it may fit the dictionary definition, we live in a society that has created sociological constructs that mean that the societal norms would suggest otherwise

I appear out of nowhere to declare that the sandwich and hot dog are different. Furthermore, they are both terrible. The wrap is so much better.

Meanwhile, no you!

No, you are terribly mistaken on the division between hot dogs and sandwiches, but I admit that you are quite right when you say that wraps are superior. Tortillas are immeasurably greater than any bread could ever dream of being.

(Although, in another sense, tortillas are bread, and wraps, burritos, etc. are sandwiches. Food for thought.)

Tortillas are not bread, they are not prepared in the same way, and are often made of corn instead of wheat

no u

How is combining a grain-based flour with water, kneading the resulting dough and then baking it any different from the preparation of other breads? Besides, the many varieties of bread necessarily use many varieties of preparation. And the idea that wheat is the only type of flour from which bread can be made is simply ludicrous, unless you (erroneously) maintain that rye, millet, corn, rice, sorghum, teff and barley breads are "not bread" either.

The issue is the fact that the food in a wrap is enclosed and encased by the grain based integument whereas in a sandwich, it is not enclosed

While you two argue over what is and isn't a sandwich and what not, I'm just gonna go grab a refreshing drink and watch this unfold, so 'no you'.

I contend that by getting a drink you are forfeiting the argument

I wish to remind you that I was never a part of the argument to begin with. No you!

But surely by engaging in this thread, you entered into the argument, it is after all named "The Endless Argument"
