"You need not worry about it sucking out your soul Valk." Turning to the newcomer, Hasan asked, "And why would we require the services of a thief within our ranks to sow discord?"

"If I find anything missing off of me, you're dead. I won't think twice." Valk said through his teeth. But he decided to turn his attention back to Hasan. "You're inviting thieves amongst us? What next? Beggars? How many more are we expecting anyways?"

V didn't want a large group. Get enough people and soon people would start lagging behind and holding the whole group up on their accord.

Dorian entered the bar.

Drained from the journey although it was hard to tell on his face, he was normally quite pale and darkened below the eyes as it was. The keen observer really would have only detected it from how heavily his weight was dropped into the nearest chair. The satchel that sagged over his shoulder bore the crest of a kingdom long since vanished which only served to heighten the mystery regarding the man who'd just entered the room.

A small beard protruded from under the dark hood that veiled his face and in a low but polite growl he ordered a drink from the nearest tarvern worker while scratching at his chin. He wasn't essentially a big man, average in height and size, but something about him carried a presence, a chill in the air which seemed to vibrate to all the patrons of the bar, and more so, he seemed to be aware of it, his eyes darting around despite barely moving, almost waiting to see who would notice it first.

Shar felt the hairs on the back of his neck stand up, his eyes went wide for a moment as he reached into his robes to produce his bow, before standing and immediately summoning an arrow into his hand. He spun, nocked the arrow and aimed it at the man who walked into the door.

"I promise you, I can put this arrow through your throat before you can say 'dark magic'. Who are you, and what do you want?"

Valk perked up and drew his short sword from over his shoulder quickly. Magic was not something that was common in Romule and he had little trust for it. Let alone "dark" magic. He planned on sticking by Shar for this one...

"Impressive skills, shame this isn't a younglings birthday, I assure you if I sense that string so much as quiver you'll be dead before that arrow has time to pierce my skin." said Dorian turning to face the stranger. His red eyes just about the only thing visible under the darkness of the hood.

"In truth, I don't know what I want" he continued. "Something, anything, I've been wandering for so long. Purpose perhaps? Who knows. What you offering stranger?"

"I was raised to not let out the weapons at the dinner table. I wonder how many conflicts you two get into on a daily basis?" He reached into his bag and brought out the book Theories on Spell and Curse and put it down on the bar. He eyed the new person. "You know what, why does everyone wear black?" Rashidi asked. "Dark colors absorb heat! It's hot out there!" he gestured to his bright green robes.

"So we can't be seen at night when we're being shot at scholar." Valk stepped around the table putting himself between the new mage and Rash. In his right hand his short sword, in his left he had the boot knife. "Watch your tongue or it will be gone shortly." He spit out at the new comer.

Dorian eyed the individual up and down, before stepping forward, barely an inch seperating the two.

"I didn't come here for a fight, but if you threaten me again, you'll find it to be quite hard to carry it out when your arms are no longer connected to your torso."

To the untrained eye, it seemed the red under the hood was growing brighter, to the trained eye, it was and the air in the room could only be described as getting heavier.

Shar grinned at the threat and released the arrow.
