You're calling for a redo right now within the system you support because it's such a divided, unhealthy mess for Osiris. Come on, Cormac. I understand the principle, but we tried it. It sucks. Let's go back to the one that worked.
I'm not at all convinced that the plurality system would have gone any better this time. The problem this time was the lack of an establishment candidate, which lead to a closer election between multiple candidates. That almost never happens in Osiris. If we'd had plurality voting, yes, there would be a clear winner, but the region might be just as divided and more than half of it might hate the Pharaoh elected by plurality.

I don't see that as any better. The problem is that we're divided, not the electoral system. We would be divided under a plurality system as well, it would just maybe be less obvious, and maybe not. The divisions aren't about our electoral system, they're about us.
