I'm not at all convinced that the plurality system would have gone any better this time. The problem this time was the lack of an establishment candidate, which lead to a closer election between multiple candidates. That almost never happens in Osiris. You're calling for a redo right now within the system you support because it's such a divided, unhealthy mess for Osiris. Come on, Cormac. I understand the principle, but we tried it. It sucks. Let's go back to the one that worked.
I don't see that as any better. The problem is that we're divided, not the electoral system. We would be divided under a plurality system as well, it would just maybe be less obvious, and maybe not. The divisions aren't about our electoral system, they're about us.
