Shouldn't this be Episode III: Revenge of the Tim?
Episode III: Return of the Stark
That would be more accurate to the movie title
~Pharaoh Emeritus of the Osiris Fraternal Order~

Why do we need unique/special ranks when there aren't even enough active people to fill the standard three ranks of commander, officer, and soldier?Tim Stark wrote:Sat Dec 26, 2015 10:48 pmI plan to re-do our ranks because we frankly look like every other cookie-cutter military with our current ranks system that seems like it's been lifted straight from DEN. No offense to whoever came up with that, it's just me. I'd love for us to have an Osiris-themed ranks system to go with the name of our military and our general theme, whether that be an Egyptian one or a Roman one.

I think he wants to trename the current ranks, not create new ones.Ivo wrote:Tue Dec 29, 2015 8:14 pmWhy do we need unique/special ranks when there aren't even enough active people to fill the standard three ranks of commander, officer, and soldier?Tim Stark wrote:Sat Dec 26, 2015 10:48 pmI plan to re-do our ranks because we frankly look like every other cookie-cutter military with our current ranks system that seems like it's been lifted straight from DEN. Yes, we had, excluding command staff, nine ranks from ISRA days. Upon my appointment, I purged four ranks, including two officers, and added PFC in an effort to add a more suitable structure to the current state of the Sekhmet Legion.Victor Siege wrote:Wed Dec 30, 2015 1:43 amI think he wants to trename the current ranks, not create new ones.Ivo wrote:Tue Dec 29, 2015 8:14 pmWhy do we need unique/special ranks when there aren't even enough active people to fill the standard three ranks of commander, officer, and soldier?Tim Stark wrote:Sat Dec 26, 2015 10:48 pmI plan to re-do our ranks because we frankly look like every other cookie-cutter military with our current ranks system that seems like it's been lifted straight from DEN. However, my questionto the prospective Pharaoh still stands because it remains a problem when the Legion currently contains one MIA Scribe of War, his WA-immobile deputy, one RL-busy soldier, and an active updater juggling about a dozen military organizations.

You answered this technically in your OP, but I don't really get a real answer. Why do you want to be pharaoh again? You were severely burnt out early on in your second term and not a huge amount of time has passed since that occurred. Do you truthfully not see yourself burning out again?
Episode III: Return of the Stark
Damn, I knew I made a bad choice putting all of these off until right before I'm heading out for New Years Eve
In terms of numbers, I personally would have hoped that the Scribe of War and Deputy Scribe of War could have been working this past term on recruitment measures to fix this specific problem. However, given the stagnation of our military over this term, I hope that the individual I intend to nominate to Scribe of War if I win ends up doing a more effective job of having people join the Sekhmet Legion and get involved in it. Last I checked, one does not need to be WA mobile to simply recruit for the Sekhmet Legion, and then perhaps train those same troops. I'm in no way denying we have a problem in terms of troop numbers, we have a massive problem, I just think more could have been done this past term for that, and I hope to see more done this next term for it whether I'm elected or not.
As for burn-out, I honestly can't see myself burning out during my first term. The second term burnout is on me, for sure. That had been my first time in GCR Delegacy, and I was already starting to feel it somewhat when I stood for re-election. I just assumed that it'd just fade, because hey this first term was fun so the second term will get super fun and stuff. Obviously, I did burn out, and gave a below par performance for my second term. Right now, I don't feel burnt out whatsoever, I feel like I can put the time into this office, and although I have no idea what could happen over the next three months, I'm not anticipating burnout. Given that I'm not more experienced with the Delegacy, should I have intent to seek another second term, were I to win, as I honestly have no idea for my plans over the next three months, I will not stand if I feel any amount of burnout like I did last time. The region doesn't deserve that. But yeah, for this upcoming term, I'm up and at it, and ready to go!
Aye, it should be, but Revenge isn't really the vibe I'm going here, and I'm only aiming for my third term, so some mixing and matching was done. Plus, I don't like acknowledging the names of the second trilogy.Rach wrote:Shouldn't this be Episode III: Revenge of the Tim?
It's not like we'd be adding new ranks. I'm just throwing the idea out there that it might be cool to have some basic thematic ranks that aren't too confusing but still add to the general overall theme of Osiris. I don't see how that should be controlled by how many people the Sekhmet Legion has, as it's not like we're expanding our ranks system, or anything of that sort, I'm just considering the possibilities of injecting some thematic stuff into it.Ivo wrote:Why do we need unique/special ranks when there aren't even enough active people to fill the standard three ranks of commander, officer, and soldier?

Although that pissed off ostrich would be a close match, I think Mr T would Mr T-bag all of them to the closest cemetery.Josh wrote:Who would win in a cage fight? Mr. T, Bruce Campbell, a zombie pirate, or a pissed off ostrich?
Yeah, I definitely got all flowery with it in my OP, so thanks for the questions. So, to answer the first one, I'd like to be Pharaoh again because I think I have something to offer Osiris again, just like I did when I previously ran. I care about this region, want to see it do well, and want to take another crack at working to improve it. Depending on who you ask, I'm probably also planning to coup, but I think we've gotten over that already. Sorry that the reason's not more complex for that, I basically just think I could do well and I want to help the region get even better.Jakker wrote:You answered this technically in your OP, but I don't really get a real answer.
