Just to mention something, IPs can't trace you directly to your residence, but can tell you what location you're at and one can discern an area in a town you may live but not concretely.

All sites can track IPs including forums, but don't worry its only precaution for security only. No one will attempt to track you down and even then its not possible to track exactly.
