I hope the region succeeds in spite of the lesser Scribes chosen here.

TAJW, I appreciate how you are handling things thus far. Question. What do you intend to do to punish Kleomentia for his subversion of the democratic process during the Pharaoh election?

I would prefer if you did not denigrate my Scribes.

Kleomentia will not be punished because there was no subversion of the democratic process during the election.

If Kleo was willfully distributing false information to voters in the hopes of swaying the election, I could see the argument that punishment is due, but he did not.

He was a valid voter at the time of the election and he voted, plain and simple.

His vote doesn't get to retroactively not count because he resigned afterwards. You yourself voted in the first round of elections, and the resigned after those.

If your vote was discounted, I would've been elected Pharaoh then.

Regardless, we have to look forward not backward.

You may have your preferences, Pharaoh, but every Osiran has the right to criticize who you have picked as your cabinet, especially as we move towards affirming their positions.

It is unfortunate that you do not consider what was a clear subversion of the democratic process as null, especially as it was the deciding vote that has afforded you your position.
The issue with Kleomentia is not the timing of his vote or his resignation, but the intent. There is high suspicion upon him that he intended to subvert the process, and you doing absolutely nothing to address it is a mark on you very early on in your time in the seat, TAJW.

And there is a lot of suspicion that I plan to launch a coup, just as there was the same suspicion put on Ainocra.

It's unfounded, and I really dislike the fact that when we don't like someone in Osiris, we spread lies about them.

Enough is enough.

Pharaoh, it seems your most recent post calls me a liar. Am I correct?
I would like to take aim at one particular theme that came up during this election cycle. The ‘us and them’. There is no us, and there is no them.
This is from your opening address. When taken and compared to your most recent post, it seems like the theme of "us and them" is truer than ever in your mind, TAJW... :ermm:

I do believe the term 'we' was used in a collective sense for the whole region, Syl.

With all due respect, TAJW... That is a cop-out of an answer.

I don't take kindly to being called a liar by the sitting Pharaoh of the OFO. I will go on record and state that I heavily dislike Festavo. Do I suspect him as part of a coup, or anything at all that would subvert Osiris? No. I do not spread lies about people based on the level of respect I have for them, and as a member of Osiris for longer than you have been, I will state will the utmost confidence that you misjudge the rest of Osiris regarding this as well.

Individuals are suspicious when circumstances and actions make them appear as such. That is it. Now I and many more would appreciate it if you stopped denigrating the whole region, Pharaoh.

I'm sad that I'm not up to Syl's standard scribe :P (yes I know he may not specifically mean me but even if he does I wouldn't blame him I was the 2nd choice for the job which means I'll do it 2x as well as one would expect, this explanation made necessary by the recent environment I just want to make it clear that I'm rolling with this not taking it personally god forbid its interpreted differently. end tangent)

I will be happy to serve as Scribe of Integration I have made considerable efforts as just a citizen of Osiris to recruit more folks to our offsite and to get involved in Osiris both on the RMB and via targeted personal recruitment I have ideas on expanding that and making it more successful I hope I get the chance to do it.

I applaud Revall's response. I won't specifically point out who I meant in my post directed at the Scribes, as to not incite anyone individually, but that is an excellent and professional post. If Revall is one of the Scribes I am referring to, then he improved my opinion of him. He improved my opinion of him regardless, but, this is one of the points I made. The Pharaoh shouldn't come running out to shout down any criticism of his Scribes. Each of them are big boys (and girls), and can handle themselves. If they can't, then why appoint them in the first place?

Emphasis added.

Very touching, syl. I am honored. That was truly necessary in the post.
