There is literally only one course to take here.

I blame you.

I would choose to pursue closer ties with Balder as I believe our views and values are relatively similar and align close enough to allow for close cooperation on the interregional stage, as the two of our Sinkers are towards the bottom of GCR populations and endorsement counts.
What do you know about the history regarding Osiris' close ties with Balder when they existed?

Certain individuals have suggested moderation will not take sweeping action against Predator users as a result of the widespread use of the tool. Why are you more dependent on the potentially faulty opinion of moderation than the very clear opinion of the Gameplay community?

The Osiris Fraternal Order was founded in December 2013. During the 2 years the OFO has been in power we have experienced highs and lows like every region. One obstacle that we are confronted with today and have been confronted with for some time is inactivity. Candidates for the highest office in the region have promised to bring activity the region for as long as I can remember. I ran for Pharaoh promising to try to bring activity to Osiris in October. I did not try hard enough. I regret that and I deserve blame for that. I am not the only Pharaoh who has been guilty of this, but I am guilty of it nonetheless.

During my 3 months as Pharaoh I have learned some things. I learned that being Pharaoh is not as glorious and fantastic as I thought it would be. I realized that people like Koth were right when they said that Osiris depends on the Pharaoh for activity. Throughtout my term campaign and term I tried to defy it. I hoped that Osirirs would somehow learn to entertain itself. I have learned that Osirans do find ways to entertain themselves. The problem is that those ways do not involve Osiris in many cases. Osiris is not the first priority of many. Many Osirans can just go to other regions they are involved in for their entertainment or fun fix. That is the easy thing to do. It is hard to bring activity to a region, but it is easy to be active in an active region. I also learned that Rocky has cancer and that the only person who can trump Donald Trump on being stupid is himself, but those are stories for another day.

Do I know how we can fix the inactivity problem? No. I do not. I thought I did, but I never did. I have contributed to this issue as Pharaoh and Scribe of War. I would like to apologize for my role in the continued inactivity of Osiris. I do know that the outcasting and crucifixion of members of the region who used the tool known as Predator will not help the activity of the region. It may help short term with pages of posts, but in the long term in will not help out all. It may even hurt us. Osiris is not supposed to be about division. Osiris is supposed to be about unity. Osirans should stand together and stand strong. Osirans should band together to solve our problems and overcome out obstacles. We cannot do that with an inactive Pharaoh. Maybe someday we can be a rather self-sufficient region, but that day is not today.

I am not running for Pharaoh today. However, I would like to endorse a candidate today. A candidate that I believe can unite Osiris. A candidate who I believe will stand strong for us. A candidate who I believe will remain an active and stable presence in this region. A candidate who I believe can outdo his predecessors. A candidate who I believe can bring us out of this inactivity slump. I have thought over which candidate I believe will be the best for Osiris right now. I read the campaign threads of the candidates and personally spoke to some. I have reached a conclusion on who the candidate that I will support. I support The Almighty Jesus Whale for Pharaoh of the Osiris Fraternal Order and I hope you do too.

Do not take my support of Jesus Whale over the other candidates as me saying they are bad candidates. I do not believe that. I believe they are all good intentioned and that they all bring something to the table. In the end it came down to Jesus Whale and Jakker. I was originally inclined to support Jakker because he is a raider, but I realize that I should not vote based on R/D alignment. Jakker is a great candidate, but I think he is doing a great job as Keeper and he should stick with that job for now. Jesus Whale is the best candidate suited to be Pharaoh right now and I fully support him and have absolutely no reservations about him. I hope you come to the same conslusion as I have, but if you don't that is fine. That is your right to disagree. Vote for who you believe will be the best Pharaoh. Ask the candidates questions and get the answers you deserve. Reach your own conclusions and then maybe we can take Osiris and make it greater. We don't need to make Osiris great again.

Sincerely,
Festavo Vasentius
Pharoah Emeritus and Scribe of War of the Osiris Fraternal Order

From my understanding there was a lot of tension between Cormac and NES that led to some issues.

And the joint military venture flopped due to a couple of issues.

I'd be much more happy to speak about the future rather than the past though :P.

Thank you for this question.

I think I failed to mention during my response to Cormac on the issue that I would like to wait for moderation prior to making any decisions, not that I'd base a decision we come to off of their ruling and solely that.

It would have some influence over it of course, such as how severe the punishment for those who used Predator would be and an additional piece of information to deliberate over whether or not we severe ties with other regions who used it, although like I iterated above, I would much prefer to discuss things than abruptly sever ties, but we will have to wait and see.

Thank you for your support and kind words Fest!

If I do manage to eek out a win, I hope to make you proud :P!

In the case of a legal tool being developed before the end of your term, will you leave it up to the Scribe of War to make decisions regarding it's use, or leave the decision to yourself and/or a combination of "high up" members?

I would discuss the issue with my Hedjet, make sure that it was indeed 100% legal, and then consult the Deshret.

I officially endorse Jesus Whale for Pharoah. I see him as a well rounded Candidate. My main reason for this is he is focused on Osiris, which is ideal for the highest position here.
