That's messed up!

Lily hurried Willem below the decks. Cold raindrops started spattering them before they got below and the waves kicked up quickly. The Invictus was being tossed around a lot given her size and Willem looked pale. He had told her earlier that this was the first time that he’d been to
sea and it was showing on his face now. The sound of boots stomping over the deck as sails were furled and gear stored, echoed through the ship. Lily could hear Captain Flint barking orders and then abruptly he stopped, along with most of the activity above board. She couldn’t imagine what had happened and was tempted to investigate but thought better of it. After a long period of quiet, the commotion commenced and she could hear the Captain again. Suddenly the Invictus lurched and sent Lily backwards with Willem cascading on top of her. His face reddened as the two collected themselves as Gruff carried a kid below. It was the kid that had almost drowned during the initiation and he was soaking wet. To be sure, Gruff was also wet, it was raining out after all, but the kid was completely water logged.
“What’s wrong with him?” She asked Gruff.
“Went overboard.” He replied. “We’d a lost him too but the Captain went swimming for him.”
Suddenly Lily felt worse about accosting Captain Flint that she had already. She had Gruff lay him on a bunk and she covered him with a blanket. He looked like he was going into shock but she kept him with her. In the process, she learned that his name was Janos Flowers and was also from the Reach. It was a small world. Willem fetched a hot stone in a towel from the galley and gradually Janos began to warm up.
