To your knowledge prior to the conversation with Rachael, has Anabelle ever announced a legion target that would be antagonistic to Osirian allies?

Furthermore, during your conversation with Rachael, did she at any time hint or give you cause to think she was joking?

Honored Priests, as the debate, hasn't finished and today is the last day on the schedule. I ask for an extension.

No Anabelle has never announced a target that would be antagonistic to Osirian allies
Furthermore, during your conversation with Rachael, did she at any time hint or give you cause to think she was joking?
No, she seemed very serious about her plans against Osiris.

As the defence has indicated they have no evidence to supply I invite the defendants consul to present any arguments they have and to provide a rebuttal to the prosecution's evidence. I am also going to grant a 3 day extension to the trial that the defence has privately requested

The defence would first of all like to move for the dismissal of the charge of "Sedition" against Rach. Rach does not stand accused of conspiring with any "enemies of the Osiris Fraternal Order," as defined in the law as "regions or organizations with which Osiris is at war or which have declared war against Osiris." Osiris is neither at war with TWP, nor is Ark someone who can be interpreted as representing the regional will of TWP. Only Halo, the delegate of TWP, and one of our presiding Priests, can be seen as such.

The defence is also concerned by the presence of Halo in judging a court case involving TWP's relations with Osiris so intricately. A clear conflict of interest exists between towing Osiris' Pharaoh's line to maintain relations, and with seeking justice.

The defence finds itself in a far more difficult position than the Pharaoh, with little hard evidence available to demonstrate the truth of what this court is about to hear. Unfortunately, this is by design. The web of intrigue and betrayal that Rach has found herself caught in, by no fault of her own, and merely by following the expressed will of her Pharaoh, beggars belief. Only too late did Rach realise she had been caught in a trap, carefully orchestrated to remove and discredit a section of Osiris' political establishment, as well as potential threats to Anabelle's schemes from outside the region.

For Rach, the story of this escapade does not begin in the group chat we have all seen, or in DMs with Ark. Our story does not even, oddly enough, begin with Anabelle ordering a raid on Christmas. What the court is about to hear is a secret Ana had ordered Rach not to disclose, but it is in the interests of Osiris to know the full details of this case, and the threat their current Pharaoh poses to the region's community. A month ago, Ana inducted Rach into a political arm of the Sekhmet Legion, called the Dark Legion. Rach was told that the purpose of the Dark Legion was to ensure and enforce loyalty to the Pharaoh, to infiltrate and prevent coup attempts, and to root out potential subversives before they could begin plots of their own. A secret police organisation, if you like, replete with its own covert discord server, from which my client was naturally kicked by Ana the moment Rach was ensnared in Ana's trap.

Unfortunately, this makes presenting proof of the existence of a Dark Legion discord very difficult for the defence. The defence would like to dutifully observe, and point out to the Priests, however, that since Rach believed in the legitimacy of the Dark Legion until she was removed from it, any screenshots taken of the server would have had to have been taken with the intent to betray Osiris by leaking its contents. Since no such screenshots were taken by Rach, it is clear that her loyalty to the state remains intact.

Ana tasked Rach with investigating three potential sources of subversion against Osiris. These three, as we have seen above, were Ark, Ham, and Pel.
-Ark, seen as suspicious in his motives for his involvement in Task Force Lazarus' group chat.
-Ham, a player long suspected to be an alt and a sleeper agent by both Rach and Ana.
-Pel, a former guardian who has repeatedly voiced his discontent with being removed from power under Altino, indicating he may go to questionable lengths in an attempt to regain it.
Together, Ana and Rach discussed a way to test the loyalty of all three players by providing them with an opportunity to join a coup against Osiris. It is a test, notably, that the three appear to have failed. It is certain that through these trial proceedings, the reputations of all three will take a hit. Ham and Pelican especially, will be removed for some time as contenders for higher power, which will permit Ana to promote the interests of more loyal lieutenants over theirs without it seeming odd to do so.

Only after springing this trap, on the instruction of her trusted Pharaoh, did Rach realise she was caught in it too. Having presented Ana with the results of her probing (the logs you see used against her above), Rach was betrayed, and thrown out of the Dark Legion discord server.

Why, you might ask, would Ana see Rach as a threat? It is clear that Rach is a popular player within Osiris, and holds significant organisational oversight in her position as Chief Vizier. This much is evident. It is certain, too, that Rach and Ham are close compatriots, who have together rapidly risen through the ranks of Osiris, and are linked through their NS family. Rach's NS family and Osiris are deeply and intrinsically linked, and all presently likely candidates for HA are members of it. Ana, however, is not. In simply dismissing Rach for no reason, Ana would have drawn the ire of this family, which notably contains more than one of her Guardians. By pursuing this elaborate avenue, however, Ana has found a way to cast significant doubt upon my client, and open up the Chief Vizier spot, thus potentially the HA spot, to one of her allies from outside the family.

The defence will call upon several witnesses, to demonstrate the truth to our points, and to show that Rach is not only innocent of the charges with which she is presented, but also that the Pharaoh has maliciously presented them for political gain.
