I don't see it. :(

This is another poem I wrote in HS. Please forgive the teenage depression, I was clearly going through. It was for a creative writing class. I'm pretty sure my teacher may have been scared for me. It's in the form of a Sestina which is why all the words repeat. It's a function of the form.

Here it is! Teen Anabelle full of cringe.

Speaker 1: "I welcome you into the nothingness
A black hole known as the abyss
I know it looks bleak
But you're only here for the rest of your life
No exit, no relief and there is no help
There are many people in this place

"Down there is your dwelling place
Right on the edge of the nothingness
If you need anything I can help
Except in trying to get out of the abyss
Try to have a happy life!
With any hope it won't be too bleak"

Speaker 2: "The scenery here is extremely black
It reminds me of a scary place
Everyone's dead there is no life
I go into the streets of the nothingness
Damned to be here the rest of my life

"Joy and colors are gone from this life
For which of course there is no help
Trapped forever in the nothingness
The shade of grey so bleak
My home is now this place
Here, deep in the abyss

"But I don't want to live in the abyss
Especially not for all my life
Now, I must escape from this place
I ask any one who will hear, is there help?
Is there a place not so bleak?
Is there a way out of the nothingness?"

Speaker 3: "Yes, I can help there is a better place
Somewhere not so bleak, and away from the abyss
Come, I will lead you away from the nothingness to a better life.

No, see like if somebody throws someone they at least glide for a second before hitting the ground. Does that make sense? D:

Also, wonderful poem. Poetry is like the one place you shouldn't worry about the cringe because, well, it's poetry. It's all cringe. <3

I figure I should also post another one now that we have a few participants in the thread.

"This Is Where We Entertain Company"

sitting in the floor of your living room,
i look at the furniture and feel

as if the wood is becoming
your history in avant garde.

watching the light display dismay,
it’s easy to connect the dots

of dust and dander, indoor snow
begins to fall on your body.

first you were georgia weather.
then a soliloquy of permafrost.

now I think of autumn, death,
as your skeleton is shown

to dinner guests as commonplace
and often unremarkable.

and now i see the reasons why
nobody uses this room anymore.
If it's hard to read because it's clunky and doesn't flow right, that was intentional. The feelings were awkward and hard to spit out and so I felt the poem needed to be as well.

Two plus two is four,
We love Osiris to our core!
Always welcoming with an open door,
Ask me again, I’ll tell you more!

I'm bad at poetry
idk what to say
but at the end of the day
I wanted to beat cretanja at spam games.

Your rhyming isn't that half bad for a fox,
I have returned to win, thinking outside the box.
You won, this is true, for a while now you see...
Alas I am back; it's time to pay the fee.
Here in the Temple of Nun,
We all love to have fun.
But only one winner can lay claim,
And it's not a rabid fox: how untamed.
This temple is home to me, the great owl...
Home to a mightiest predator fowl.
You had your fun, be gone now, get.
This temple needs new paint, maybe green mint.

out of the watery abyss
that is the world of dreams
rose up the impossible feat
of dethroning cretanja
in the very temple of nun

the domain of inertia, yes,
but the domain of chaos still.
the only thing unchanging
is everything always changing
so this too shall pass

. . .
(and
yet
not
pass)

A fox and now you?
What do I have to do?
I am the winner of the spam games, you see.
Now be gone, get, go on now, flee.
This is my home away from home,
It been wrote in the great tome.
Each new trespass disrupts the peace.
So eave this temple please,
...the fox already almost gave me fleas.
